McCarthy Uniforms - Etobicoke, Ontario

I dislike leaving negative reviews, as I much prefer lifting up one another. However, McCarthy simply lacks the understanding of what it means to meet customer's expectation.

Without burying the lede, here's the TLDR.
1. Sent out wrong uniform
2. Will not send out correct replacement until they receive the wrong uniform.
3. Had to speak with the supervisor and they throw the word "policy" at me.
4. After a long back and forth, they were willing to ship it out.
5. 10 days later, still don't have it (but it's in stock since the first conversation).
6. I called and they said it's in the warehouse, ready to be shipped (I already sent back after our first conversation)
7. I asked if they can expedite shipment. You guessed it = No.

Order placed on on AUGUST 27. Today, is NOVEMBER 1st. Still waiting.

I hate to break it to you, there's always a way. You can call warehouse, there are service such as FedEx First Overnight, you can accept the fact that you made mistakes and apologize to the customers (and I spoke with 3 different staff, zero apology). You can also read the book Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara.

Policy is for robots, for AI to follow, it's black and white. It's great you have policy to protect your business, where's the policy to protect your customers? We've built durable values with you. I already hate the thought that I have to give you business for the next ten years because we have no choice. It's rare in today's business to see a large company that takes zero accountability, as this is the natural cause/effect when there's no competition. The bar here at McCarthy is shockingly, shockingly low.

And no, please don't respond with your template to see if I want to expand further and email customer service.

Greeted and helped by Aubrey to sign in with virtual queue and she was fantastic; pleasant and patient.
Sales associate Milka helped me and thankfully everything was in stock. She provided excellent customer service. I recommend this location !
I am happy about the virtual queue and im so glad about the new location!!!!

In my experience: excellent costumer service and uniform pieces mostly have good quality.
In my opinion they insanely expensive even because COVID. Getting 2 outfits for each child if a family of 3-4 you may end up to 1k!!probably more.
And their discount bundles are basically useless and you must spend 3x what you need to get $30 voucher! Or to save 10%. Depends what bundle you may qualify!
Ps. Go in July by appointment and it’s not busy and so easy to get that trip done.

The worst customer service experience both with the customer service line as well as in person with the staff and Manager (Mary) of the Etobicoke location. I ordered a much needed item for my son’s uniform and waited over 6 weeks to discover that they shipped the wrong item despite the shipping label and the order clearly stating the name of the correct item. The level of incompetence has been astounding to witness. My son and I visited the Etobicoke location in person to try on the item so as to be assured the correct size was ordered. At the site, the staff were mistaking the item needed and requested for the wrong item. I had to correct them in person so that the proper item could be listed in the order. Two weeks later, Mary (Manager from Etobicoke location) called me to also advise that the wrong item was ordered. I had to explain all over again where the error occurred and I was assured that the correction was made. I received the package and it still contains the wrong item. Now, I sit on hold with customer service who eventually tells me they have to transfer my call to Etobicoke who isn’t picking up their calls and the voicemail mechanism isn’t working. THIS COMPANY DOESNT DESERVE THE AMOUNT OF BUSINESS IT IS RECEIVING FROM THE SCHOOL COMMUNITY. Sheer incompetence.

0 star! Worst customer service! It was raining so hard and the lady on the door ask us to scan the QR code. I asked her if we can come in first because we’re wet already from the rain. She said “No, you have to scan and wait in the car!” My son and I got drenched as she spoke while we’re outside the door. Please be more considerate!

Omg this store is so ridiculous unorganized or over organized. Horrible.....that q code is so un necessary and make customers to do extra beside to pay a high price for uniform. Uniforms quality is horrible so much thiner then 2 yrs ago but the company kept the high price

Horrible system. Need to wait for more than an hour. And when we were 60 seconds late , they said we have to go back in line. Rude manager. Asked us to complain if we want to.

What a stupid way to buy clothing.. you have to scan to go in. Wait until people come and get you. I wouldn't be surprised if everybody just went to public school just to get away from this.... it would be easier and faster to do it online
