While I absolutely love the care provided by my family doctor, this clinic is awful. The receptionists are very condescending and rude. I DREAD having to have to book an appointment. First, good luck ever reaching anyone on the phone for an appointment. Not possible, they never pick up the phone. You have to leave a message and wait for a call back. Second, an appointment with my doctor is always about 6 weeks out. Sure they have a walk in clinic, but feel free to read the other reviews about that. Finally, when I do have an appointment, and get to see either my family doctor, or another one, I am then always charged for whatever it is I need. Most recently, my 10 yr old son saw the doctor and was referred to a specialist where I then HAD TO PAY $25 for the referral note. To see a specialist. Not a sick note, a referral to see a specialist. I was flabbergasted! If finding a family doctor wasn't nearly impossible here in Ottawa, I would switch clinics in a heartbeat. Although, again, my family doctor is great, knowledgeable, friendly and thoughtful. Nothing against him, just everything about this clinic is horrendous.

They said they opened at 9am Saturday. So I showed up at 845 and there was a long line. The clinic was open already which seemed odd. I waited 30 minutes with my son to be told that they already handed out all of the appointments for the day. I asked how that was possible when I got there before the clinic officially opened. The lady that worked there had no good response for me. All she told me was that people were lined up from 7:30 a.m. I asked her why she gave appointments out before the clinic officially opened, how would anyone know they had to show up before the clinic even opened to get a spot? Again no answer. If you go here I guess show up 90 minutes before they open? Like health care in Ontario isn't hard enough.

DO NOT RELY ON THE FRONT DESK OR OFFICE MANAGER/OWNER (Fred) TO MANAGE YOUR HEALTHCARE NEEDS! My pharmacy faxed a request for a prescription to the clinic on Monday. I called the clinic the same day to advise them I was in the process of changing my rheumatologist and that my doctor at the clinic had to complete my prescription. I also advised the clinic receptionist that I needed the prescription this week as I was leaving for vacation. I waited until Thursday and my pharmacy indicated that they had received no response from the clinic. When I called the clinic the receptionist indicated that the prescription had been sent. I challenged her explaining that the pharmacy had not received anything from the clinic. Only then did the receptionist advise that the doctor covering for my doctor (currently on leave) suggested that I contact my rheumatologist. When I explained what had happened to the office manager/owner he refused to acknowledge that there was any issue and that they could give me only a 1 week prescription. The office staff accept calls, place you on hold, and often accidentally hang up. Each time you speak with them it is like the first time they have been alerted to your issue. IF YOU HAVE AN URGENT ISSUE, MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW UP DAILY

While I absolutely love the care provided by my family doctor, the receptionists here are terrible. My doctor told me to come in today for my birth control shot once I picked it up from the pharmacy. When I arrived at noon, the receptionist told me that a medical assistant would be right with me and to take a seat. After about 20 minutes of waiting (and being the ONLY one in the waiting room) I asked how long she expected the wait to be. She disappeared for a while and came back and asked if I could come back at 1:30 because everyone is on lunch. Up until then she had just been sitting there and never communicated this wait to me. I’m not a walk in Patient, I am a part of the family practice. I understand that my doctor told me to pop in without an appointment and that people could have been on lunch, but that should have been communicated to me right away. Very inconsiderate of my time and unprofessional.

The worst experience of my life in the health care system. The staff person I spoke with was rude and turned her back on me when I was trying to resolve an appointment mixup. The other concern I had was that I tried three times to reach the office by phone and waited several minutes on line after which I hung up. At no time was I redirected to voicemail. After the staff encounter I met with the owner and told him my concerns about the lack of voicemail. He dismissed it completely. After I made a complaint about the staff’s behaviour, he said he was going to do the same thing and told me to leave. He had zero people skills and was the most arrogant business owner I have ever met. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. This is an example of what privatized medicine is all about - arrogance and money, Absolutely no customer service or caring.

Great example that Canadian Health System is totally failed even though govt takes so many tax from the small business owners and other tax payers

How is the tax being used now in health system? Why I should pay that much tax to receive this crap health service? Endless waiting of phone call and the agents treat patients like homeless who come for free service even though we Canadian pay high tax to govt

If I could give 0 stars I would.
I was waiting in line for an hour for the walk-in clinic and by the time it was my turn to speak to the receptionist, she announced there was only 1 more person they could accept. I was at the beginning of the line, meaning it was supposed to be me. The owner of this place comes and speaks to the receptionist, indicating to her that she let this lady behind me in. The owner is rude and literally questions waiting patients “I don’t even know why you’re here.” He goes on to say “maybe consider not seeing the doctor.” ….like what? He does NOT want you coming to his clinic and he does NOT want to help sick patients despite running a walk-in that literally serves the purpose of helping sick patients.

If you need to see a doctor don’t come here because when I asked why I wasn’t let in as the last accepted patient the receptionist couldn’t even give me an answer. The other receptionist who checked the lady behind me in completely dismissed her colleague’s question when she asked why she was checking her in. Nothing could have been done and I just wasted an hour. Keep in mind, there was no indication of who the last person they would accept would be. I would have just been lucky being the last person but I still didn’t even get in. If the owner knows someone he’ll choose them over you any day despite the policy of a walk-in being FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.

DONT COME HERE.

I felt lucky today that they even answered the phone, but just to be told to hold. I have waited 1 hour and 6 mins now on hold. No one is THAT busy! This is a Dr. Office, an hour long hold time is disgusting. The worst is knowing the receptionist's are just gossiping while I am sitting here missing work waiting for them to adjust an upcoming appointment for me, so that I can have an RFI filled out that will allow me to return to work. I have already missed 4 days now waiting for this appointment, and will still miss 2 more! I am lucky to even have this appointment already schedualed for my pregnancy and hoping that they can work with that schedualed time to find a few minutes to fill out this form for me, if I didn't already have this appointment previously booked, I would surely lose my job waiting since they are booked out three months from now!!
Before someone suggests walk in, I already tried elsewhere and they won't fill out the paperwork, amd besides that, I will lose my spot woth my family Dr. For going elsewhere as per Med Team clinic's contract.
