I took my dog Shiner in for coughing and groaning especially at night which would indicate heart/lung issue but she never suggested x-rays of the heart/lungs. Instead she gave her pain medication. She wasn't limping, walked daily and jumped on the furnitre no problem. Being a vet you would think she would know this could be a heart problem. They listened to her chest and said her heart sounded good. I could hear the congestion and feel the rapid heart rate. I was charged for 2 examinations at this visit for a total of $375 and got no results. I took her to another vet and had x-rays done and ishe was diagnosed with heart cancer with fluid in her lungs. Sadly I had to have her euthanized which was devastating.

He got annoyed when I requested a written prescription to send to an on-line pharmacy so I could get her meds at a cheaper cost. The receptionist was rude when I asked her to email it to me as that was the only way the pharmacy would fill the prescription.

Always friendly and so good to my cats. They really try their best to make them feel comfortable and not so frightened.

Edit 16 January, 2024: one of my cats had a very rough few months. Dr. Rogers provided exceptional care with so much compassion and honesty. I feel she went above and beyond with JD's care; trying every avenue she felt necessary, while avoiding those she didn't all while providing constant communication. And when it was determined nothing more could be done, all the staff at Mill Street provided gentle and compassionate care for JD, as well as my husband and I, during his journey over the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you to all the staff at Mill Street for making a difficult and heartbreaking situation as painless as possible. We're forever grateful ❤️

I have been with Mill st vet for 4-5 years now and each time I visit them, they always treat my pets as their own.

Not only are they professional, but also extremely attentive to the care they provide their animals.

If you are newly posted into borden, I can reccomend this vet enough as they will take very good care of you and your family

Somehow my GSD who is 2.5, has been targeted with dog aggression from this vet clinic. The last time my dog was there was at 6 months old. And he had ZERO issues with any dogs? I'm super confused where this has come from. And now this is following him to other clinics and making it difficult for MY DOG. If I could give negative stars here I absolutely would. It's a bunch of bull, and I have friends they've also done this too. I have NO clue where they got this dog aggression crap from. It's upsetting and extremely untrue.

Finally found a vet that is a true animal lover!

Dr. Roger’s is super knowledgeable, thorough, explains everything to me and doesnt make me feel like she’s taking me for a run for my money.

If there’s a better solution she will share that with me in hopes of making our lives easier. Thank you and your staff for your kindness and patience with Enzo, Nala and Mia!

Cats required de-worming medication; had to have a check-up and shots, been a couple years...before I could get Rx. Ok, Cats in, $500.00 later, they're shots are caught up, got the de-worming meds, and a further Rx for Peanut; he has terrible teeth.
Get home, pills are huge, twice as big as an Advil or aspirin, no way I'm getting them in tiny mouth Peanut, I'd have to break them in 4, and jam them half way down his throat..
Vet cannot supply medication in liquid in a concentrated enough form. I offer to see if Guardian Drugs can make it up...they said sure, we can call over the Rx..
Sure enough great service: Peanut has to take .6 mil twice a day. Easy peasy, it's about 3 drops, he barely fights it...
The vet calls me back..tell me sure, we can do it....
It'll only cost you $30.00..
Wtf? I have already paid for this prescription, this is NOT a refill..
Holding my cats health hostage for 30 bucks.
Dirty, dirty, money-grubbing. I'll not be back. It's the principle of the thing, not the 30 bucks.

Been going here for years. Dr. Roger's and Dr. Vanderlinde are extremely helpful answering questions and making sure our furry friends are getting the best treatment possible. Even our easily frightened fosters feel safe in their hands.
