We will forever be indebted to Dr. Nathan. Up on vacation from Montana and our dog, Pearl had an experience with a porcupine in the back country by Field, late on a Saturday evening. Plus we were staying in Canmore so had to drive all the way back with these quills in her snout. Dr. Nathan met with With us later on evening, after hours, which was so incredible and was so great with Pearl and got everything out. She was all OK and everything was just so much better because of him. The facilities at the office were also really nice and clean very comfortable. We couldn't have been in better hands. Thank you so much Dr. Nathan. We now joke that we want you to be our vet and drive up from Montana once a year.

We had been out camping in the area and unfortunately, our dog injured himself by doing some kind of jump with a twist. As it resulted in him dragging a rear leg, it was quite scary. It required a vet visit while we were out of town and we had the pleasure of dealing with Dr. Nathan Bernadet.

He assessed the injury, gave a painkiller with muscle relaxant and did a thorough exam with x-rays. He helped put some frantic dog parents at ease and we are pleased to say that our dog is now doing much better. We are grateful for being able to get in on a Sunday and for Dr. Bernadet’s expertise and also grateful for his lovely front desk staff.

This clinic is a model of cooperative and compassionate care. Dr. Nathan and staff show up for their clients (our beloved pets) with individualized understanding and heartfelt empathy. It is a place where I can take my dog to build her confidence and trust at the vet, which has historically been a very scary place for her. Dr. Nathan is skilled at regulating and understanding her cues of stress and is patient in the application of care. It truly is a place of understanding and medical treatment. I have not only seen my dog’s physical health improve (managed allergies, weight control, and acute care for immediate concerns like ulcers) but her confidence and trust has also improved by visiting the clinic. Throughout our stay in Canada (10 months) the team at mountain animal hospital have helped with every strict requirement needed to fly our dog back home to Australia. Big shout to Courtney, Dr Nathan and the rest of the team! Always fitting us in, catering to our needs and making any little fussy adjusts required for Aus strict entry. Would have been a nightmare otherwise. Hank always loved his visits there, highly recommend them 🙂

The team at Mountain Animal Hospital were amazing at helping me last night when I brought my dog in who was disoriented and unsteady. I arrived panicked and in tears and they were very kind and calming and got my dog looked at right away. They took tests and were upfront about the cost and had the results in 30 minutes. They helped both me and my dog who is ok thanks to this team. I’m very grateful for every member of this team, they were all very friendly. They even brought me water while I was waiting for my dog. I had a great experience bringing my Springer Spaniel to Mountain Animal Hospital, The team was professional, kind, and took the time to answer all my questions, making sure I felt confident in my dog’s care. The nurses were especially great—patient and attentive. I also appreciate that they’re independently owned, which really shows in the level of care they provide. The follow-up call the next day was a nice touch and showed they genuinely care. Highly recommend!

Mountain Animal Hospital is a very accomodating veterinary clinic with exceptional staff and services. They are/were always willing to accomodate and help out with my pets needs! My puppy always looks forward to visiting the clinic and saying hello to the team!

This was the only vet opened on Sunday in Canmore and my dog started limping yesterday and I called to see if they could take me in (I had never been there before). They didn't have a spot so the lady said I could take an appointment for the next day and if my dog was better (which apparently happens) then I wouldn't have to come in. I took the appointment just in case because I was worried for my dog. I called this morning to cancel because there was no more limping and he was back to normal and they told me there was a 50$ cancellation fee!!!! No one told me about it on the phone the day before otherwise I would have waited out... anyways. bad communication and then you have to pay for it.
