BIGGEST MISTAKE I ever made was hiring this company. Alex Kalmar took close to $17,000 from me 1 1/2 years ago to put in a fence, I was supposed to have a patio as well, but the work was so bad it had to be torn out and I paid again for someone else to install the patio. Patrick from Backwoods Construction was great! Turned up everyday at 7 am and completed the job in just over a week, fixing a lot of Natura's mistakes along the way. Alex is never in the country, doesn't return phone calls and has demonstrated that he couldn't care less that 1 1/2 years later he still can't manage to install a fence and complete the work I paid him to do! I feel like I'm being held hostage. I wish I could give them far less than 1 star, because that's what they deserve!!! I would warn everyone to never hire these people, based on my experience with them, especially when there are great contractors out there who care about their customers and take pride in their work, like Patrick from Backwoods Construction.

I am writing this review to say how impressed I was with Alex and Andrew and how helpful they were! I dropped in on Thursday October 27 to ask if they would be able to help to put topsoil around my new sidewalk. They promptly sent a quote after I sent some pictures and after some rainy days, they came on Wednesday November 2 the dirt was in the place and grass spread perfectly.

Absolute WASTE of money!!!!! First off, the load of screened topsoil did not get delivered when it was scheduled to be. I waited around all day with no phone call to tell me they were behind schedule or it was not going to make it. The load eventually showed up at the end of the following day. As for the load of topsoil itself, it was full of baseball size rocks and clumps of clay. Pretty much just looked like 4 yards of fill instead of screened topsoil like I had paid for. Definitely will NOT be going back to this local business!

Replying to owners comment: we ordered and paid for screened topsoil. So did you screw up our order? Maybe own up to your mistake.

Since the owner has changed response I’ll write mine and I’m just going to add that I’m not writing under some secret name my husband ordered the fill and doesn’t have a gmail account. We tried to speak with your staff at the time and was hung up on. Your original reply to this review was “it’s the wet season what do you expect”

WASTE OF MONEY. I ordered natural landscape mulch. Yes it was the cheap stuff but it had garbage in it as well as large logs, large rocks, and what looks like the scrapings of a gravel driveway or premix (which took up most of the load). I have contacted he company many times trying to get a response. I was told I they would have to talk to the owner and get back to me the following week. With no response weeks later. I now have at least 4 yards of unusable "mulch" sitting on my driveway (I tried to use some and it is too full of other things to use at all).

We were looking for a small amount of mulch to finish a project. We called him, he met us there. I brought and filled my own containers and he charged a very fair price. It was a good experience.

I have been getting topsoil, triple mix, mulch, and gravel from these guys for the last couple years and have always had a good experience with the staff and quality of product. I was driving past their yard last night at around 6:00 p.m. and noticed that the gate was open so I drove in hoping to get a load of topsoil, not realizing that they had closed at 4:00 p.m. Even though the guys were trying to get cleaned up and out of there for the day they still took the time to get me a load of topsoil before the rain came which was very much appreciated. I'll keep going back here and supporting this business, they're doing a great job.

They change prices constantly, delivery prices change constantly, hours are hit or miss half the time no one's there, owners say they will call you back but never do, however I was in there recently and noticed there staffing changes and now have some pretty rough around the edges staff members, last year I had amazing help from a young fellow with tattoos and Andrew I don't know who I dealt with this time but it was not a good experience. I also bought soil there delivery time was hours behind and when it arrived there was barely 2 yards when I paid for 3, also noticed the soil had garbage in it. I personally will be sharing my experience with others as well as we will not be returning I would suggest using dragonfly.
