Giant 5 stars.

Came here after Bow Valley shut down their companion pet side of their clinic. due to veterinarian shortage (LOVED them too.)

I had rescued an intact male dog in March 2022 from what was essentially a hoarding situation, he was emaciated and needed to be neutered and checked out. They were quick to get his needs met, and my hound was calm and collected the entire time. (AS FAR AS I SAW - to the staff? I apologize if he was a menace 😅)

Forward to this year, due to family situations I had been in and out of Calgary to take care of some family issues and my cat - due to stress, not liking her food etc - had begun to get sick. I called the apparent local emergency vet that worked after hours in town without reading reviews as I had been in a panic (Brooks Veterinarian Clinic) to be told there was nothing he could do and to just wait it out

Fast forward to this morning and calling Newell once they had opened and they were quick to book me and my kitty in and were receptive to all my concerns. Blood work had gone up in price from my past experiences; however was prompt and there was absolutely no beating around the bush... and thankfully what I thought would have been a costly venture for my precious fur baby was significantly less than what I expected.

I'll continue my care moving forward with Newell Vet!

Doctor was great but his receptionist could use some training in PR skills. Found her to be abrupt, cold and extremely unfriendly. This woman does not present a professional, pleasant and caring persona for this physician. The person handling the phones and the front desk is always an integral part of any business and this doctor doesn’t have a very good representative.
