Amazing store and amazing people working there. We got horses just a year (rescued) ago and this place is a new favorite of every family member, even children 🙂 The staff is amazing: very knowledgeable and so happy to help! I cannot thank them enough (honestly, there were so many times when they answered my questions and I didn't need to call a vet! They saved me so much money and helped to learn so much about my horses!). Children love the place too: the older one can spend hours choosing a halter, horse cookies or whatever else she would need for her horse. The younger one can spend hours looking at farm toys and animals (toys). 😀 And I spend hours, asking questions and getting the answers LOL. Highly recommend this place.

Most useless place to shop for anything farm related closes at 5:30 & doesn't open until 9 am what a pathetic operation; even called to ensure they would stay open; arrived at 5:31 they already had the gate shut after calling & talking to a lady; the owner then responds below....not just my schedule....anyone who has to run their operation during the day can't even get supplies after 5:30...better off going into airdrie peavy mart!

Prices are good, selection great. They keep my animals happy and well fed which makes me happy! What I will say is the most impressive thing about this store is the staff. SO genuinely friendly , welcoming and helpful. When I first got my chickens they were so knowledge able and a real help to me. They must have a great work culture to have staff that consistently friendly and helpful which I love to see. Happy to keep supporting them.

I went into the shop to buy some horse feed. I have no idea what I'm doing because I've never had to feed a horse before. They were extremely helpful and patient with me. They helped guide me through everything I needed to do and loaded the truck up for me.

The parking lots clean, the store is clean, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, I cannot comment on prices as I have no idea what things are supposed to cost but it seems like a pretty reasonable amount for what I bought.

Thank you North 40 feed, I'll definitely be back! You guys have excellent customer service. Now I'm off to feed my horses

Very disappointed in my visit today at North Forty. Back on January 26 I had to purchase a universal drain plug deicer, one very similar to what we have used for the last twenty years. Within 30 days it failed and the trough froze up. After another quick trip to North Forty a second deicer (this time a different style) was purchased. The gal behind the desk Emily was quizzing my husband about the breaker size and if he was using it properly. Really its been twenty years, we have this and he has an electrical background. With the bad weather we were only able to remove the failed deicer last week and I tried to return it today. Yes I have the receipt but not the box. I didn't get the name of the person behind the desk (wasn't Lindsay for sure) but I was made to feel incompetent and possibly a liar. After much discussion the deicer was plugged in and worked. Sorry I don't have an explanation but it didn't work when it needed to or else we wouldn't have bought the second one!!
I know North Forty won't miss our business as our geriatric horses don't require much these days but it was a disappointing way to end a relationship that has been years in the making.

I delivered a load of salt here, at the time i had flu and was struggling with any physical work. The ladies here jumped into action and got the whole load unloaded off the truck very quickly. They could see I was struggling to breathe and offered me coffee and a warm place to sit while they unloaded the truck. The kindness shown was much appreciated as one doesn't see it much as a trucker. Thank you gals!
