After spending 2 days at Northumberland Hills Hospital last week to give birth to my first baby, I can honestly say the reputation of the Labour and Delivery team lived on and exceeded my expectations. While off to a rocky start with labour, my amazing midwives kept me calm. When a doctor and nursing staff needed to interfere, they were supportive, knowledgeable, and extremely kind. The care the nurses continued to give me and baby over the course of our stay was amazing. Thank you so much for your hospitality and care!!

My little one was taken by Ambulance to the hospital. She was taken right into a room and well looked after. She was taken right into x-ray. She enjoyed the popsicle and stickers the staff gave her to make her more comfortable. Thank you so much to all the nurse, the doctor and security guards for looking after us and keeping us safe.

The hospital emergency was fuller than full , one patient left and 2 more came in. The staff is the greatest. From nurse, doctors and cleaning staff were superb. No matter how busy they were friendly and smiling. I love the staff at our hospital

My mother had an aneurism that was dissected. I was called to the Northumberland hospital in the early hours of January 16th. I drove from Toronto as fast as I could. When I arrived at the hospital, my mother was still lucid and she whispered to me how kind and amazing the Dr. (Dr. Bishop) and the attending ER nurses were. I wish I could remember their names. I watched as Dr. Bishop and the entire team tried valiantly to save my mothers life. Unfortunately she passed away. I will never forget the professionalism, the kindness, and the heroic efforts that were made to ensure my mom was not in pain and to try to save her life. I have never met a team so empathetic… so human. Thank you to the entire staff at Northumberland Hospital for everything you did for my Mom. I will never forget it. I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the hospital. Dr. Emmanuel Udoeyop, Dr. Roger, and Dr. Hameed were incredibly supportive and demonstrated exceptional expertise throughout my care. The nursing staff were equally outstanding, with special mention to Catylyn, who took such kind and compassionate care of both me and my baby.

I’m deeply grateful to the entire team for their dedication. After starting my journey under the midwives’ care, I required an emergency C-section, and the transition was seamless thanks to the incredible midwives and medical team. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure my birthing experience was as smooth and comforting as possible. I truly couldn’t have asked for better care. Thank you all for making this journey so special.

My father was recently a patient in the 2a wing after a hip fracture/replacement. The nurses, the ot's, the assistants, pt, all of them were so amazing and kind. Thank you for choosing your proffessions, because you are all rock stars, and were so kind, thank you for taking such amazing care of all the patients there. Job well done!

I wanted to say a big thank you to Dr.Sina Sanei, and all the kind nurses and staff from Kawartha Dental Clinic in Peterborough. Thank you for taking such good care of me in everything leading up to my dental surgery yesterday (Tues Feb 18, 2025). I also want to thank the team of doctors and nurses that were present for my surgery at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg. From the very beginning of my consultation with Dr. Sanei, to the day of my surgery, I felt at ease and reassured that I was in great hands! Even though I suffer with anxiety, not once did I feel any anxiety towards any of the treatment I was receiving! Dr. Sanei is a wonderful, knowledgeable, kind, and very patient Dentist. He treats you as an individual person with a lot of respect, and not as a number grouped with other patients. When he comes to speak to you, he sits down, and explains everything to you in a way that you can understand, and not in a rushed manner. He doesn't get up after 2 mins and starts walking towards the door indicating that he has to go and has other patients to see. He respects you as his patient and will take whatever time is needed to go over everything in great detail, while also offering all the options that are available to you. Again, he doesn't rush anything, he takes his time!  He jokes around with you too, which makes you feel more comfortable, and gives the vibe that you can trust him. He genuinely cares about you as his patient, and for your well-being. Even on the day of my surgery, he came to speak with me a few mins before my surgery was to begin. He sat down (key word, sat down, and was at my level, so I didn't feel rushed), to go over again what will happen during the surgery. What really impressed me though, was that he took the time to ask me, IF there was something unexpected to arise during the surgery, what would I like him to do. I have never been asked this before! This really impressed me and made me feel like my opinion and feelings really mattered!

As I entered the OR with my anesthesiologist, Dr. El-Zabet, there was an entourage of about 10 people, made up of nurses and doctors (ALL were wonderful!). They would be assisting Dr. Sanei during my surgery. Seeing this many people can be overwhelming to a lot of people. However, while I was being prepped, Dr. Sanei came over and stood right beside me the whole time, talking to me, which distracted me and didn't give a chance for anxiety to take over. And before I knew it, I was slowly waking up in the recovery room. The surgery was a success and I was told that Dr. Sanei came over several times to check on me and make sure everything was ok. And of course I was, because I was now in the good hands of the nurses in the recovery room, who treated me gently and were very kind and understanding.

I know I am leaving out a lot of people here, please forgive me, and know that I remember all the kind things each of you did to ensure I had a successful surgery and recovery.

My review could go on forever, because I cannot say enough nice things about Kawartha Dental Clinic. If you honestly need a dentist that really cares about you as a person and your well being, you will not be disappointed with the team at Kawartha Dental. You will be in great hands and well taken care of!

I had a surgery today at NHH. Everything went perfect. The nursing staff were incredibley sweet, caring and outstanding with especial mention to Candace who toke such good care of me.
