This doctors license should be revoked for going against the code of having to help people under distress, denying me help and never hearing from him again. Mr Mohammed Mosli, literally abandoned me. He declined my help and ghosted me. I asked to be tapered off of prescribed medications for anxiety, needing a professional to help do it safely and without a race, to ensure I am functional, as benzodiazepines have SEVERE & Life threatening withdrawal symptoms. He flat out denied me, said NO and then stated, I'm not the doctor for you. He quit me, quite literally leaving me extremely unwell. I have no way of contacting him or nurse. In fact no nurse (Eva) or anyone that I was transferred to from reception never answered their phone or called me back. Leaving voicemails beyond scared and in distress with psychological and physical symptoms. After denying me his help, he said he was to call me the next day with a new doctor to help me and that never happened either. He just quit me. Still to this day, there is no word from the raam clinic or Mosli.

I stated to MR Mosli, I am the one who started this process as I want these medications out of my life, I have trauma from being abandoned & not heard and he decided to do the same thing and I conveyed this in the first interaction. Saying I haven't been treated well in a human rights type of way. I am a contribution to society and always have been. He treated me like I was less than. Not listening to a word and becoming defensive asking if I read the whole 97 pages of the tapering method I wanted. Also scolding me for using the word manual instead of method. Ensuring he belittled me.

There were red flags from the first phone call as he was saying things that I didn't convey, back to me. When we had our third  conversation he kept saying I was depressed and I was tired and to stop his newly prescribed medication in the mornings ( that have their own severe withdrawal symptoms after six weeks of use). I told him I am active in self care, not tired and continue to be active and am not depressed. I had to be super clear about this because he still kept responding with, "you are tired and depressed, so let's stop taking the new meds in the morning as well as stopping the prescribed meds I was on for 9 years". This was about three weeks into our interactions. I was depressed in 2018 and know what the signs are and I expressed that I'm not depressed a few times. When I spoke to him I asked if these new medications have any adverse effects. He ignored my question and went into a long winded statement that never included any answer to my question. This said it all.

That afternoon, after following his instructions to stop the meds, I almost ended up in the hospital due to the withdrawal of the 9 year prescription. I always listen to what I'm told especially from a doctor. This was a major mistake. *Update, from the moment he stopped helping me, my chemical embalance has deteriorated and I am officially depressed but understand it's from following his guidance and then quitting me causing PTSD and abandonment from someone of authority.

I knew from the beginning he did not hear me at all and was saying things that were completely opposite of what I was actually saying. He had me come off this medication that has severe withdrawal symptoms in 5 weeks. I've been on these meds for 9 years and have only seen terrible results & experiences from support groups having doctors that did the cold turkey approach in a quick time frame. Which now includes me and has made people & me incredibly worse. The taper was important to me as I need to function with keeping my sanity and not be bed ridden or hospitalized.

If Mosli is the one that deals with you, immediately ask for someone else or try to find a clinic that helps with tapering. This man should be fired. Including taking his license.

Writing this review puts me in an extremely hard & uncomfortable position as I need help.
Yours truly,
A distressed, abandoned patient.

Not a good experience. I was advised to attend classes before i could see a counsler after week of classes and another 10 days of waiting appointment with their counselor Fatuma. The morning before one hour of my appointment i get a call letting me know that appointment is cancelled and they will call back to reschedule. I never got a call back. I feel like they are very discriminatory when it comes to their clients. Even the receptionist seems very frowned when talking to them. Advice- you get what you pay for and this is free. Their service is absolutely the worst.

Went in with the hubby to talk about our extremely addicted daughter. I had a wonderful conversation, she was so helpful and listened, gave me resources and info on groups. I was so thankful to have gotten her. My hubby had a terrible young guy said after 5 min he left, absolute waste of time for him, no insight not helpful. It’s a hit or miss, just like any other service. If you don’t click with someone politely say so and ask for someone else. You will eventually get someone that gets you and understands what you’re going through and knows where to direct you. I must say thought. The system is in shambles.from the police to the hospitals to the ems, I heard from every group “the system is broken”. Too bad it seams the only thing we can all do is watch people drop dead around us.

Not a good experience. New'ish to Canada so dont know a lot of things here.

But I was assigned to Dr. Alex Kennedy. While he sounded okay over the phone, his admin skills were horrible.

Prescribed Bupropion (1 tab a day). After a week, he increased it to 2 tabs a day. But never updated the system. When I went for refill, denied refill at first. Had to inform Shoppers Drug Mart and they asked me to inform doctor to update.

I informed the doctor who said he will, but never did. And ended up with the same problem.

Dr. Alex Kennedy also said on Dec 4th that he will fill up the forms for EI. After 2 weeks, he goes back on his word and says the family doctor has to fill it up.

And my EI got delayed even further with holidays in between. And I get calls from EI office that they were just waiting for the doctors certificate.

So, no medication, and dont know if I am getting a refill or what the next few days and weeks look like.

No EI due to miscommunication by the doctor. So not sure how I will pay bills.

Counsellor assigned wants in person visit. No money. I mean hey, my EI was messed up by their own doctor.

So much for Rapid Access... More like Random Access.

My councillor Vivian is an amazing councillor. She has been so compassionate and understanding as well as uplifting through my involvement in this process. The first place that I have come to that integrates psychiatry with medications and group therapy, counselling, workers that go out into the community to you for chats and coffee, A.A./N.A meetings, helping with employment opportunity information ETC. I have been through many programs and they have failed. Working with the people at RAAM has been like night and day, the changes in me. These people helped me find the correct medication for me. I have come so far with understanding myself and my illness/disorders over the last 6 months. These people have advocated for me and I will be doing the Foothills mental and addictions program ASAP. Finally the break through I was so desperately seeking.

Do not talk to these people they will cause you harm. I was forced to deal with these people by social services. A counselor suggested I talk on the phone with an addictions doctor. The doctor asked me if I had ever driven after drinking. I was honest and replied yes. Bars have parking lots, people come and go after one or 2 drinks normally. Based on my answere, the doctor sent a message to alberta transport causing me to loose my driver's license. I enjoy 2 drinks a week but the doctor caused me so much harm. I am still having issues explaining to employers why I had my licence suspended. I never did anything wrong. It cost me thousands of dollars. Insurance hikes, lost job opportunities, lawyers fees. I will never forget Dr Mann and the pain she caused me over a 10 min phone call. 😞

I have struggled with addiction for many years and it took alot for me to reach out for help but I have been clean with the help of the staff and programs that they offer, I'm happy to be in recovery and I learned how to forgive myself and move on,I'm not alone!!

Useless with benzodiazepine brain injury. Benzodiazepine is classified in the UK and the US as a Crime Against Humanity. In Canada they still call the syndrome an addiction. Way to pass the medical catastrophe onto the victims and shame them. 80% of people taking this drug as prescribed are innocent people. That had no idea the effects it causes to come off. 0.2% of people use it for reactional use. If you've been here for benzo injury and need assistance refer to The Ashton Manual by pharmapsychologist Heather Ashton. Get coaching out in the States via online courses by Micheal The Lovely Grind. You are not a diagnosis for them to drug to make money off of. This system will harm you never heal you.
