We had a Right at Home Care personal support worker in our home to help us deal with recovery following a serious surgery. Cathy (PSW) and Right at Home are absolute treasures and were instrumental in providing the help we needed, when we needed it. Cathy was there to help with all manner of tasks and moral support. She was sensitive to our needs and showed compassion, understanding and expert assistance in any and all areas required. No job was too big or too small, she was happy to talk or do any task needed and just took over doing any job from doing the dishes, the laundry and so on, to all manner of personal support tasks.
Right at Home Care was flexible and co-operative in accommodating us when we needed to change our service date for things like medical appointments and such. Everyone who needs help should know where to get reliable assistance when they are in need. I personally recommend Right at Home Care for anyone who needs a Personal Support Worker and I plan on calling them if we require further assistance. I just can't say enough to praise the help we received.

Right at Home have supported me with visits to my special needs brother for a few years and have always shown understanding and compassion in the care for him with Brooke. More recently, my mother's health declined and I required full care for her until I was able to move her to a different facility. Adrienne was there to help me get started and the scheduling team; Brittany, Kelsey & Val pivoted with me as fast as changes were required and I really appreciated their support while trying to manage a moving target. Tina, Linda, Guylaine, Peggy and Sarah have and continue to provide great comfort and companionship to my mother. Thank you all!

I hired Right At Home for mandatory pickup and post surgical care for my hernia surgery in April, 2024 since I live alone in Collingwood.  Tina was the first staffer and she facilitated my transit to and from the hospital.  After picking me up after I was discharged, she took me right to the pharmacy to get my prescriptions filled.  When we arrived at my home, she made sure that I was able to get around the house including the stairs safely.  She offered to do tasks like preparing a meal and some light house cleaning as well.

One of my incisions unfortunately started to bleed out but being the pro that Tina is, she got on the phone right away with the recovery room nurses at the hospital for recommended directions to manage this.  We replaced the dressing and managed to stop the bleeding so I’m sure glad that she was there to help me through this complication.

Later in the evening, Nicole came to replace Tina for the overnight shift.  Nicole made sure that I got all my medications schedule on track and throughout the night made sure that I was okay over regular intervals.  In the morning she accompanied me on a walk around the neighbourhood which was recommended in order to increase my circulation which helps speed up healing.

Both Tina and Nicole were very professional, caring as well as totally delightful to talk to.  I’m a newcomer to Collingwood while they both grew up in the local area so it was very insightful to learn more about the local history here.

For any home health care services needed, I would totally recommend Right At Home.

My aunt, now deceased, was very demanding near the end. For the last 18 months Tyra at Right at Home was absolutely awesome caring weekly for her, even taking her, wheelchair-bound, out to run errands. My aunt didn’t speak highly of many but she did speak highly of Tyra! Right at Home was always super accommodating when plans changed. Would highly recommmend!

Having both parents with Dementia I needed alot of solid support for my parents and Krista from the moment I met her, has been nothing short of incredible. She shares her own personal journey in caring for her Mother, the things she's learned, her education and years of experience navigating senior homes and watching a parent age. Krista is the most caring and kind hearted intelligent and professional person and I truly felt, is in our corner from the beginning. The amazing staff of psws are all carefully paired with the right person and Krista constantly is reviewing the schedule to make sure it continues to work. The psws love what they do and it shows. My parents enjoy the visits and creative care they bring with scrabble and walks or even a basic shower. They offer them continued dignity and joy. When things have gone sideways, they were the only really support I've had and would trust their care over and facility. It's worth every penny, the peace in knowing your loved ones are safe and sound with Right at home and Krista by your side!
