Update: My family visited the store again today after reading a response
that the lady no longer works here. The gentleman from previous times I believe recognized me and make a point to be very friendly and helpful which I appreciated. Unfortunately the lady does still work there. There were no negative interactions with her but I am not comfortable shopping while she's there so my toddler and I left. The gentleman did ask me as I was leaving if everything was okay but I didn't really want to get into it publicly. I understand volunteers are hard to find so I don't harbor any negative feelings towards the store. I stand by original review and comments. I love this thrift store and wish them the best. ❤️

I love this thrift store and it's cause. I have been here multiple times since it opened and have even told friends and family about it. The gentleman that was at the front was amazing both times I just want to make that clear. ❤️

Unfortunately 2 incidents with one of the people that work or volunteer there have me learly about returning. The first incident happened a couple weeks ago when I was in there with my sister. My sister questioned a price on something and asked if they would accept a different amount because of the missing pieces to the gentleman that was working there. Although the lady with white hair that was also there went on a long spiel about how it was volunteers here and that he was the first one who got a job here basically shaming my sister for questioning a price. The answer could have simply been no by the gentleman she asked. This lady was harassing and rude.

The second incident happened today when I went in there with my kids to pick a present out for their dads birthday. Two of my kids are getting over a cold but are passed the contagious stage and just have a residual cough. We had been on a 2-hour walk and visited a friend for 2 hours and none of my kids coughed at all. For whatever reason a few minutes after we got into the store my 2 year old started coughing which I believe was a legitimate cough at first and then carried on because it got her attention. I told her she has to cover her mouth but being reasonable she is two and had she continued to cough like that we would have left. We had been in the store 5 minutes. The same lady from the first incident made a comment to me about how there was a bad flu going around and maybe I should teach her to cover her mouth. I responded with she is two and admittedly in a very unhappy tone. She then proceeds to go on to tell me how I should speak to people. I said nothing else grabbed my kids put the stuff that I had back and walked to leave the store as she followed me continuing to harass us as we left. When we left the store my daughter stopped coughing.

Don't get me wrong I completely understand covering your mouth but we had just got there and I had already addressed my daughter and I didn't need unwelcome parenting advice. Not to mention she was incredibly confrontational and to be quite honest kind of scared me.

To the owner of the store I love your store and I really hope it continues to do well. ❤️

went in for the first time and i’m not exactly sure why but i was sneezing for about 2 hours after i left. i’m allergic to dust, but this has never happened at any other store i’ve ever been to.

I love Nick!! He is so kind and generous. Definitely a MUST if you ever go through Barrhead, Ab. It's profits go to the homeless & hungry folk in town. Super generous and thoughtful. Plus I just bought a single bed (mattress and boxspring for $25) Dooo Iiiiit... Go There Today!!!!
