I had Shipton's install a gas fireplace last month, it was a wonderful experience. The installers were friendly, efficient and cleaned up beautifully after they finished the job. Yesterday we clearly had an issue with our furnace, the system kept clicking off. I called Shipton's in the afternoon and we had a technician here an hour later. Ralph identified the problem and we had heat again. Another great experience with Shipton's. I would recommend Shipton's to anyone wanting reliable, friendly and excellent service.

Shipton's has been great! Gas company tried to put us on notice saying our air intake pipe on our furnace was incorrect. When I called Shipton's they immediately responded to check it out for us. All was good on the intake. Everything was to code. Every person from initial phone call to everyone involved along the way were supportive, knowledgeable and friendly. Great company and employees. I was referred to Shipton’s by a mutual friend who recommended their tech, Justin, after I moved into my home and had difficulty with my furnace. As a (newly) single woman, I prefer to use contractors that can be vouched for by people I trust whenever possible and the staff at Shipton’s were understanding and accommodating to my needs.

Submitting a request for service was simple using Shipton’s online booking form and Steph, who took my initial request, was friendly, professional and efficient. Once she received the information she required from me, Steph advised that I would be receiving a phone call from their dispatcher, Eddie. Sure enough, soon after my correspondence with Steph, Eddie contacted me. He was empathetic to my situation and made every effort to schedule a date that would work for me.

Unfortunately, I had to cancel my initial appointment as my daughters were both home sick the day of, but, when I contacted Shipton’s to do so, the female (Terri perhaps?) who answered the phone was kind and compassionate and informed me she would transfer me to Eddie to reschedule. Eddie, again, was a pleasure to deal with and he rescheduled my appointment for another time that worked for my schedule, without issue.

The morning of my appointment, I received a call and text message indicating that Justin, the tech, was on his way. I was provided an approximate timeframe along with a photo of the tech which I found to be helpful as it provided peace of mind that I could confirm the person who arrived at my house was actually the tech sent from the company. (Didn’t hurt that he was easy on the eyes either LOL) Justin arrived right on time, and actually had to wait a few minutes for me as I hadn’t returned home from dropping my daughters off at school yet, but much like his colleagues, he was patient and understanding.

Justin was very considerate when entering my home, choosing to wear foot covers despite my insistence that it was unnecessary. He asked questions to gather information about the issues and reassured me when I felt stupid for not knowing some of the answers. Justin is very knowledgeable and conducted himself in a professional manner. He took the time to explain how the equipment worked and how to use it properly, and he made recommendations regarding types of filters to use and when to change them for optimal heating and cooling. In addition to my furnace issue, I had questions about the HRV system as I had never used one before and Justin was also able to show me how to use that.

Once Justin got my system cleaned up and running, he went over everything he did, he reviewed the invoice with me and made recommendations for services he felt I could benefit from. I appreciated that he wasn’t a pushy salesman and I never felt pressured to purchase any unnecessary products or services. After reviewing my options, I decided to enrol in an HVAC maintenance service for 1 year which was surprisingly affordable and gives me the peace of mind I appreciate, as a single mum.

I highly recommend Justin and the entire team at Shipton’s and I will definitely recommend them to anyone who asks.

Shipton’s Heating & Cooling responded to my call within a few hours. The tech (Kyle) was knowledgeable and offered multiple solutions with the cost of repairs. Another tech (Andrew) came later the same day with options and we ultimately went with a new furnace. John and Tom arrived early Sunday morning and installed the new furnace within hours; they were very professional, cleaned up, and answered any questions I had. Very grateful that we had a new furnace installed within a few days, especially in February. My wife and I also appreciated that we didn’t have an 8 hour window regarding their eta. Highly recommend Shipton’s over the “bigger companies” that treat you like a number while always trying to upsell.

Excellent service!
Everyone I spoke to on the phone was professional and extremely helpful.
Called in the morning with the issue, they ordered the part, had it by the early afternoon and had everything installed, running and tested by 3pm.
The offer a fair warranty and have reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this company!
The technician Nigel was great as well, very polite, professional and efficient with his work!
