SAMH was amazing! My experience here brought me back to a new me. I am so grateful to all the staff, management, therapists and doctors. I’m am the healthiest I have been in years. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone dealing with Mental Health and Addiction. I miss each and everyone of you so much. Do the work and fill your recovery toolbox. I want to give a huge shout out to Angad my Primary his lessons are amazing. Also, to Shanon for guiding me through tough times and helping me to rewrite my story to an amazing ending.

This facility is a true representation of life saving care and support for Mental Health and Addiction. The counsellors, medical staff, administration, management and clinicians are consummate professionals and exceptional. The level of passion, integrity and honesty is incredible. Care of this magnitude is a genuine blessing and miracle. Highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of care for mental health and addiction looking for a family environment to recover. The 30 days I spent at SAMH truly changed my life. I walked in these doors not believing in myself, or my ability to change, but the time I put into discovering myself at the centre truly turned my life around.. The relationships I built with the staff and the clients here helped prove that I was more than my addiction. After my 30 days spent with counselling from staff members like Gurman, Shannon, Angad, Lucas, Jason, Jessie, and Cory, I finally have the ability to hold my head high. Each one of them took part in changing my life and helping me find the proud strong woman I am today. I would not have been able to make it through my time here without the support of each of them. They all went above and beyond to make this place feel like home and guide me along my journey. I would highly recommend anyone struggling with any mental health or addiction come work the program at SAMH. They changed my life when I thought it was impossible, maybe they can do the same for you too ❤️

I want to start by saying that SAMH saved my life, I think without it I would’ve continued on a very miserable path. I want to thank the staff for being so kind, supportive, and downright hilarious when I needed it most. The support here is something even better than I could have anticipated and have truly changed my ways of thinking about life. To top it all off, the food is amazing. 🙂 Thank you SAMH!

I want to thank the full staff at Sam H for taking care of me for four weeks. This house I hold very special and dear to me, as they helped me in my time of need. They gave me the tools that I needed to transition back into my life, to live happy joyous and free! The accommodations were wonderful and the food was delicious. The therapeutic value was unparallel. I’m so glad my family decided to go with this home. They also have an aftercare program that helps you stay connected. I graduated eight days ago and they have contacted me three times already. These people care! God bless.

I stayed at Simcoe Addiction and Mental Health for 30 days and it was the best 30 days that I could have ever asked for. I came into SAMH as a shell of a person who had no hope or true identity left. I was struggling with severe trauma since I was 9 years old, and developed addictions around 12-13 years of age. Throughout my life, more trauma occurred and the addiction had gotten worse. The severe trauma and the addiction that I developed ultimately brought me to my rock bottom. When I got there to do a tour I was greeted and welcomed immediately. The property is beautiful, and far enough from the town that you feel comfort when arriving. I was shown everything, and reassured of my safety and well-being if I decided to begin the residential program. After the tour I knew this was the place that I needed to be. I had tried different programs before and nothing could help with the extensive needs that were required when it came to supporting me. Coming to SAMH was the best decision I have ever made in my life. I was treated with respect, compassion, and genuine care. My dignity and self-worth was upheld and even uplifted while I was there. Jacob is one of the most admirable, genuine, honest, and caring individuals I have ever met. If it weren't for all of the interactions between us, I would not have learned about myself in the extensive ways that he encouraged. He pushed me to do my best and keep going even when times were hard for me when I was processing everything while getting sober and handling my severe trauma. He did everything to ensure my success and guided me in the right direction. I would not have gotten to the end of this program, without the knowledge, strength, and authenticity of all of the staff, especially him. I would not be where I am today without him being a crucial part of my journey.

Family care meetings are invaluable. When I first joined I found the support from both Jay (facilitator) & other participants. Doubts acknowledged while also providing hope. Currently things with my husband are really good..giving me the opportunity to provide support & hopefulness to others still struggling. Both my husband (program grad) & I believe SAMH to be an integral part of his recovery. The program is excellence immersed with caring.
