This clinic is among the top in the city. I happened to be an intern under the mentorship of Amandeep at this clinic, and I must emphasize that she is exceptional.

Her remarkable capacity to assign tasks and offer assistance and direction is truly praiseworthy.

Despite me being transparent about my addictive past, I was offered high potency stimulants with high potential for abuse. When I began to have a problem with these, my prescription dose was increased. I was offered opiates as well. This is an ‘addiction clinic’. I was transparent about my struggles, yet not once was I offered any treatment options for my addictions nor for my suffering mental health. Stay the F away from this place, unless of course you’re looking to score. The staff and doctors here are deplorable.

Never once have I devoted any energy to making a poor review for any person or business online.
I’ve been too sick for the last several months, so simply haven’t had the capacity to post but, This needs saying.

At first, I was thrilled with Dr. Khosa’s bedside manner, on top of his open-mindedness in navigating me through the set of complex medical issues that I suffer from. After a few months, I had also started seeing Dr. Khosa’s wife, Simiran, who practices as a ‘functional medicine’ doctor in the clinic. I was very excited about the prospect of trying a new form of treatment. However, it was around this time that I had now started observing some unusual behaviors from both physicians. For one, there was pattern of them repeatedly being unprepared for appointments. Her and her team made errors in the logistics of the blood work I had paid privately for. I am thousands out of pocket for lab tests conducted, combined with the regiment of supplements, and cumbersome and expensive daily diet she had me on over the course of several months. Due to their negligence, (testing the wrong metrics) I never actually even found out if all this effort and spending (while being homebound with an incurable disease) even slightly moved the needle.
I had told her on numerous occasions how challenging travel is for me. I paid for several Ubers across a large city just to turn around and pay for another home without making progress because Dr. Simran was so unprepared.
She neglected to keep scheduled appointments, failed to record and recognize the nature and purpose of my visits, yet took no accountability for these concerns nor the clinic’s level of unprofessionalism, once I did finally bring it to their attention. In one case, I was called a liar for pointing out that I indeed DID have a scheduled appointment after being in the clinic for an hour and 40 minutes, waiting for bloodwork that the clinic was privately billing me for. Despite there being a digital footprint confirming the appointment I made through their TELUS booking system, she still insisted that I was a walk-in and denied any wrongdoing. No apology, just a no-show. I started bringing my wife with me to appointments (and I often need assistance) so she could see for herself as to why my frustration had been growing. After she had accompanied me for a few visits, she agreed that it would indeed be stupid to ever step foot in the “Smart” clinic again. I say this all KNOWING full well, how challenging it is to find a doctor in Alberta or anywhere in Canada right now. This is but a sliver of what happened in the two years that I was under their “care”. There is so much more under the hood here. I would be looking at a 15,000 word blog piece to contextualize how atrociously disorganized and unprofessional this clinic is. The College of Physicians is better suited for itemizing more specific and personal concerns. This is just a Google post. See the other reviews on here, and apply some deductive reasoning, people. You could be the first appointment of the day and still wait an hour and a half while other announced walk-ins take your spot as you sit patiently frustrated but never complaining, just because you’re in such a desperate position in a broken healthcare system.
This is NOT an isolated incident. “How you do one thing, is how you do all things”.

I often wonder how different my life might be today if I had never met the Khosas. There’s no doubt in my mind, though, that I would be far better off had I not walked through the doors of the “Smart” Clinic two years ago. There’s not even common sense here, and sadly I’m not even back at square one again, I’m further back than that.
Any decency I once felt from this place, is now completely decayed.

Embarrassed to have to actually cough up one bloody star for this place.

Dr. Navneet Khosa has always been my family doctor, and he and the nurses always are willing to provide information, teachings, and discuss the best treatment options. I wish wait times were better though.

Zero. And only to protect my safety did I actually withhold evidence and actual court documents. Very much illegally opened a sealed file in a Court of Law and the Nurse who was laughing while are openly read documents that were proved to be tampered with already hence the seal being in place and dsoure several demands that st ease accesses immediately as there's only three requirements by law none of which were met she openly refused and they lied saying I was being hostile to protect their own jobs and I was told previously by authorities that it's my eyes against these and who will bellieve me? Welly physician of 15 years won't even think to open that file. None is actually foosg pnough or arosnt or

Been going here for over a year now. The staff here truly care, and go out of their way to ensure the best care. I never make appointments, always do a walk-in as I drive in from out of the city, and I've never been there for more then an hour. I just choose smart times to go as to not wait hours on end like some other reviews?
Dr. Khosa saved my life when my father passed, he's an extremely intelligent, empathetic and caring individual, who you can tell became a physician for all the right reasons.
They listen to what you have to say, provide honest feedback or advice, and at the end of the day they do what you ask of them (within reason) I'm so lucky to have found a Family Doctor within Calgary that is top notch, and respectful.
Thank you everyone at Smart Clinic, you've changed my life for the better while making me feel "normal"

Dr. Khosa at the Smart Clinic - Best Yet!
Having lost my GP of nearly twenty-five years to retirement, I found myself in a medical predicament. I saw five GPs accepting new patients, but with a complicated medical history, every single one showed me the door. My pharmacist recommended the Smart Clinic, having heard positive feedback about the Physicians who practice there. I made an appointment, and Dr. Khosa showed an interest in my care. Sure enough, I have a new Doctor who is thorough and caring. Without being punctilious regarding my medical issues, Dr. Khosa has been attentive and knowledgeable, spending the time required for each appointment. He has gone out of his way to help me deal with my complex medical needs—a five out of five stars for Dr. Khosa and the entire Smart Clinic’s Physicians and staff.

If i could give this clinic infinite stars I would!
Dr. Khosa and his medical assistant/nurse are amazing wonderful people. The entire staff up front is also very helpful and very nice. I really can't think of 1 bad thing to say. I have been going here for almost a year(time goes by so fast)!
I am from the states and things are very different here. In the states you are treated like you're being interrogated as opposed to having a real Dr. Patient relationship. They genuinely care and want to help. Whereas in the States they actually penalize you as opposed to helping you. All i have to say is hands down just be 100% honest with the doc. He actually cares and wants to help. He can't do that if you're not honest. I assure u he will do what he can to help. I wish he could be my everything doctor! I actually don't like doing phone appointments because I enjoy having my in office visit.
I highly doubt you can find anyone better than Smart clinic!
You will not regret your decision to come here. Again honesty is key. I feel so much better now that Im in Dr. Khosa's care!

*Smart Pharma is also the better choice! Its right downstairs and there will never be issues that take hours or days to deal with. If the scripts. Not there it's literally a 2 min fix because u just need to walk up some stairs to resolve it! They deliver so it's honestly better than going to another pharmacy.
