Guys at the desk in the back we're making fun of me as I walked up to place my lumber order, if you don't look like you do work or they don't know you, have fun being laughed at and teased on your appearance. Horrible time here. I'll try and stay away. Worst part is when I come here with my dad he is treated with crazy respect and appreciation it's night and day, just depends who you are.

We have had nothing but excellent service from Soo Mill. We are building a cottage in the Elliot Lake area, and the Soo Mill team in Elliot Lake has been extremely accommodating and helpful. From our experience, they offer fair prices (in many cases, better prices than we can find at the bigger hardware chain stores in southern Ontario). Nancy has always been great to deal with. She provides personal service, often exceeding our customer service expectations. Plus, she has a lovely, cheerful personality. Very satisfied with Soo Mill!

I have had great success shopping at this store. Staff have always been friendly and helpful. With local suppliers like this I don't have to be running to Sudbury or the Saulte for my renovation materials. Soo Mill has the best prices in Elliot Lake for building supplies. Without being specific, you will find that a majority of items at Soo Mill are half the price of the same items at Rona. I would chalk the price difference up to Rona pricing items at the national average but this is pure speculation as I have never investigated this. Regardless, you will find many items at Soo Mill for half the price. The Staff at Soo Mill are the most helpful and friendly bunch of people you will encounter. They are well organized and quite knowledgeable which is a plus for the first time DIY home owner. The staff will diligently go out of their way to make sure you have the right materials for the job. I recommend you visit Rona and Soo Mill so that you can see first hand that Soo Mill excels above and beyond.
