Mother was crying so hard she couldn't fill out paperwork. Came out to the car to ask me to help and when we came back in it was 3 minutes after 5 and they would not let us back in. Have to go to another hospital after waiting there for over an hour already. Staff clearly need better training on how to treat people.
EDIT
After going to Owen sound hospital my mother was treated much better and she didn't have to fill out a single paper, the doctor said it didn't make any sense why Durham would expect her to do it herself. Save yourself time and go somewhere better.

Brought my young son into emerg the other night and the staff there were very attentive. The triage nurse was friendly and helpful. The doctor took time to explain treatment, answered our questions, and addressed our concerns. It appears to be a smaller hospital than some others in the area, but I'm happy to take attention and support over the bells and whistles of a larger facility. A true diamond in the rough!

Very fast and efficient. It was the first time I was here, everyone was very warm and polite.
While the night before something was missed, I saw Dr.Cheema (sorry reading doctors writing) was very knowledgeable and fast!
Was seen by doctors within 15 minutes of arriving both the night before and today.

Just moved to the area staff was very helpful and friendly. I came to get blood work done, lab tech was super friendly,gentle, very compassionate and understanding in regards to my anxiety towards needles. I highly recommend coming here if your hesitant about needles like I am.

I went to the hospital today regarding a pulled muscle, which was so bad I couldn't sleep.I had waited about 4 days before I went and that didn't help.

When I arrived I heard a little girl screaming and there was 2 little boys waiting to be seen.

It was no more than 5 minutes the nurse had everything under control and started looking after me.

She asked me a few questions and how it happen. She said that my back was inflamed and applied the med.

As soon as I saw the Doctor, he checked out my back and prescribed the medication I needed.

I've been to this hospital 3 times and they are just amazing.

They really know how to take care of people and the City of Durham should be proud of them.

my only complaint was when I was taken in by Ambulance I was there all night with no pain killers offered Surgery a week later but a well needed place
