Opened overhead door and knew something was wrong. Broken spring. Went to South Country Doors and they matched up my spring. Decided to change both. The tube that holds the springs was in bad shape bent and would be hard to slide old springs off and slid new springs on. They had a better tube that was solid. Changed out tube and springs and started to get cables tight. Noticed one was frayed so deside better change out cables. But when I went back to get cables for some reason they don’t sell cables. Sent me some where else. Went to overhead door in Lethbridge and they made me a couple narrower than cables. Now the problems started. I wounded the cables to the correct turns and was just taking out the bars and the cable let go. The crimp had let go. Re crimped the cable with the right crimp. Wound the springs again and went to take out the bars to let springs do there job and the right cable came off. Again wrong crimps. Time to call South country doors. Took a couple days to come as I was on a road trip. But called Abbey when I got back to let her know if they wanted to come earlier than the appointment we made. Abbey called me later in the day ,asked if they could come over. For sure that would be nice. Thane and William showed up at 4:30 by 5:30 new cables, new bottom brackets and wound up springs. Adjusted opener and oiled the rollers and new springs. Door opens better than ever. They were fast and friendly and professional. FYI for South Country Doors Would be nice to purchase the cables for the overhead doors from your store. Sure glad Fort Macleod has an overhead door business. That has such good staff and service. Thanks and I will be back.

I just wanted to update you on the west door repair that was done for us this week. Of course it is shocking that it’s windy today so we didn’t have to long to wait to test the repair…..we do not have any whistling coming from the west door! So fantastic and so very happy and less crazy (maybe LOL)!! Thank you to SCD!

We had an amazing experience with South Country Doors! They were fast to respond to me when I found myself in a jam, even on a Saturday. Grady was friendly, knowledgeable, did a great job and really went over and above to make sure our needs were met. Such great service! I will definitely call again and would highly recommend them!

What a wonderful group of humans! This evening my tire blew on my way to work, I did my shift knowing I’d have to go outside at 11pm in the dark and in the cold and have to throw my spare tire on. I’m outside and I hurl the spare onto the ground and these gentleman see what I’m doing and insist they change it over for me, they indulge in genuine conversation with me and check my other 3 tires to be sure I’m headed home safely. I’m a young single mom of twin toddlers, I work 85km away from home in a tiny town (Olds AB) I had no one to call for help and only myself to rely on. Thank you to the men at South Country Doors for changing a tire in the cold in the dark while you’re away from home for business. I made it home safely and the vehicle I rely on to transport my kids is safer thanks to you! I can say with my whole heart if you want great customer service this is the company for you. 5+ stars and a forever customer -Mackenzie Olson

So grateful to Abby for all the organizing and to Grady who came the distance to fix our garage door which repeatedly slipped out of alignment. Grady did such a thorough job, making 3 different adjustments, and the door has been functioning well since. I also appreciate that he left the South Country Door “open” by saying if it happened again, there was another maneuver he could try. Really friendly company with great service. Thank you !
