Excellente expérience. Je suis arrivé hier soir avec une douleur à 9/10. J'ai été immédiatement pris en charge et soulagé par une infirmière compétente. L'examen bactériologique réalisé a permis ma sortie du service des urgences après visite d'un médecin sympathique. Merci à tous

There are many negative reviews from people who have had to wait in the emergency department. I don’t want to challenge any particular person‘s experience, but I think many of them have failed to appreciate how the department works. People are seen based on how serious their condition is. Once they are admitted they will likely have tests. The results can take an hour or more to come back, meaning everyone has to wait for that to happen. If you happen to go on a day when there are several people with more serious problems than yours, you are going to have to wait a long time. If you do not believe me, I invite you to go to an emergency department in Toronto, where you well may wait for 24 hours. I was astounded that these very professional healthcare providers saw me within an hour and then kept me overnight! I’m sure in Toronto I would’ve been kicked to the curb with a taxi chit. The best person to talk to about all these problems is Mr. Ford.

I was in the Hospital for 10 days after an unexpected abdominal emergency surgery. I was terrified and alone through the ordeal but the care and compassion I received from all the nurses and Drs was truly remarkable. From the ER to the OR to Nurses that cared for me in the room I am greatful. I wish I could remember all the names of these angels that made a very horrible situation better. Thank you!

Just had a relative at the hospital for an operation. His second one there in the last month. The volunteers, the nurses and the surgeon were so welcoming and supportive. Very clear communication. Absolutely wonderful. Thanks you.

I recently spent a week in the hospital and was very impressed by the nurses and doctors. The nurses are lovely and the doctors know their stuff.
Yes, the wait can be long in the ER at times, but that’s because there’s people who need more urgent medical attention. It’s not the hospitals fault. If you are going for something minor, you’re going to wait a long time. Go to a walk-in instead, or try Central Region Virtual Urgent Care Clinic.

I was brought here by ambulance following an unexpected event. I have to say that the treatment I received was outstanding. The nurses and techs were efficient and friendly. The 4 doctors I met took time to listen and time to explain. I was afforded the testing and analysis needed very efficiently. Having experienced big city hospitals in Ontario, Bracebridge was refreshingly efficient and cheerful.

The initial checkin and waiting is pretty inefficient and slow. It takes hours for them to take 1 person.
Once you are admitted - the staff is friendly and I was dealt with pretty quickly.

Why can I not get any answer with a live person, 3 days now I’ve been trying to confirm whether they have received a requisition for me, but it’s totally impossible because nobody answers the phone. You can’t get to the right department and it’s very frustrating. Does anybody have any answers on this hospital? Like are there people that actually work there? Very unprofessional I am so confused. How does One get any answers if nobody answers the damn phone. I had to give it a one star, but it doesn’t even deserve that. I think I should possibly go somewhere else… Seems like I don’t have any choice lol
