Honesty and integrity of the EMS staff is excellent.
My father was brought in by ambulance, treated, and discharged, but was missing his wallet ($540 cash inside).
Turns out that it had dropped out of his coat pocket during the time he was in the hospital.
A couple of calls later, and a paramedic ( first initial “K”) had found it.
We went back and retrieved it, cash intact.
Faith in humanity restored.
On top of that, he was treated kindly, efficiently, and professionally.

Came in with severe stomach pains and was sent for an ultrasound the next morning.
Every other time this has happened in the past to me, other places told me it was just gas and to go home.
Well it turns out it was my gallbladder.
I stayed the night and got surgery done the morning following right away. Wonderful doctors, surgeon, nurses, and really just all of the staff generally were incredibly polite and helpful. I'm very thankful to have came here 🙂

Usually I have had good experiences here but have only visited the blood clinic and the X-ray department. I needed an ECG for upcoming surgery that I need to go to a private facility in Toronto to have next week. The wait here was 1-2 years to get an MRI and about the same again for surgery (how pathetic). I had the ecg on Monday and they told me my doctor would probably have it later that day or the next… Well 4 days later they hadn’t done a thing. After my call they had a dr look at it then faxed only the report to the dr. I had asked (so did my dr) that they needed the report and the actual graph. Again phone calls, voice mails etc. Why don’t people do their job correctly the first time. They refused to send the results directly to the doctor at the surgery centre because it is out of province. OMG. Who cares? Who makes up these stupid “rules”. I’m doing the Nova Scotia medical system a favour as I’m not taking up a spot here that someone else can have. At the very least they can do their jobs properly the first time. This is the third time I’ve had to leave the province for surgery in the last 8 years. If I had not had my spinal surgery done (in Florida) I would be in a wheelchair today. Our system is very very broken and not getting any better.

Took my partner here because he passed out and wasn’t feeling good. They sent him home after a chest xray and heart scan told him to get lots of fluids and gave him Tylenol. My partner passed away a week later at 55 years old from complications of a lung infection. Please don’t go here go to Halifax. Where they care ❤️ as soon as I can afford too .. I will be holding this place and doctors responsible they had an opportunity to save a life and didn’t know how ?

All Drs and Nurses takes good care of the patients.
Sometimes, when the Emergency Department is busy with very sick patients, there will be delays for the people in the waiting area. It can be sometimes even 7-8 hours. It is because there are much more sick people inside dealing with life and death.
If someone needs emergency treatment for people in the waiting area, definitely they give preference to them, and they will call inside and treat them as a priority.
The Hospital is also expanding in another 1 year, with Dialysis and MRI Scan, and a bigger Emergency Department, to enhance care to patients.
