Experience with the optometrist was great, however when it came to buying glasses the customer service was awful. I was being helped by someone in training so the lady who was doing the training was listening in. When we started the purchase process of the glasses I picked out she came over to the desk and actually snatched my prescription paper out of the gentleman’s hand who was helping me. She looked at it then tossed it onto the desk. Then she went straight into a rant and all in one breath said-Your prescription is too high, you don’t qualify for the two for one, you don’t get the 50 percent off lenses, you have to buy the most expensive lenses because they won’t make them otherwise, and we have to send them to a third party lab so it’s going to cost you an extra 75 dollars so your glasses will be 8-900 for a pair. And the look on her face was as if she was personally offended by my prescription and how dare I have to make her do all this extra work by using a third party. Not even once did she say “let me see what I can do” or “let’s look at some options”. She was so rude. My mom and I then started asking questions, as I have been wearing glasses since I was like 6 and have never had issues and she got even more mad. I asked her if she could check the system for what I could be eligible for or to try to see what lenses I could get and she argued with me that she’s not even going to ask because she already knows the answer, and the more I tried to clarify different things she had said, the ruder she got. So she handed me a piece of paper that had “recommendations” listed for type of lenses and so I said, but these are just recommendations, it says nothing about why I don’t qualify for any of the deals nor does it say my prescription type has to get a certain kind. She literally said she wasn’t going to help, so I said I’ll just take my prescription elsewhere. Went to the Specsavers at Crowfoot centre and wouldn’t you know it-just picked up TWO pairs of glasses through the 2 for 1 deal with the 50 percent off frame deal they had, and NO 75 dollar lab fee. So I paid 375 bucks in total and I happily own two new pairs of glasses. Will definitely take the extra drive rather than deal with Cochrane Specsavers again.

Specsavers is huge across UK so I was very happy to finally see one here. The Cochrane location is great. Right from my eye exam to finding and fitting my glasses the staff were amazing and friendly. We have purchased 3 times now as a family and every staff member we’ve dealt with is very knowledgeable. Lots of products to choose from and most importantly affordable!

My wife, Kerri-Rae, and I visited Specsavers in Cochrane Alberta on February 15, 2025 to check out a local optical service for my new prescription glasses.
When we arrived and met with “Sandra” at Specsavers she was so hospitable and professional in every matter. Sandra was polite, funny and comfortable working with and we have nothing but great things to say not only about the service, selection in frameworks but also the saving we achieved were amazing! Great selection and prices, designer frames including local Canadian designers and well known ones like Marc Jacobs!! I was lucky to get mine on a two for one deal which was excellent in terms of savings.
Rasandeep has great customer service! I would highly suggest Specsavers if you’re looking for affordable pricing and quality.

Dr.Vu was great to work with on the eye exams, he even gave me a photo of both my eyes up close which is super neat! Maria helped me pick out my new glasses and sunglasses and made the process smooth and easy. Can’t wait to get my glasses! Highly recommend the team here at Specsavers Cochrane!

Awesome clinic, super friendly staff, doctor was super informative and patient with showing me contact lenses and even sent me pictures of my eye! Shout out to Sandra for the incredible customer service, she went above and beyond to make sure I got everything I needed with glasses to fit my lifestyle. She was welcoming, caring, and super friendly. You are in great hands thanks to the awesome staff here. Highly recommend!
