On January 2025 I've had a 3 night 4 day stay in this hospital. This was my first ever hospitalization in my life. I am generally a reasonably healthy person. Not that day. Something was circling and knocking people out in this city.

Called an ambulance from my car. 5 minutes later they were there to help. Checked my vitals and warmed me up a bit. Check.

Got into ICU and hooked up to a machine. Monitored my pain level and brought down wherever I was feeling pain.
Got CT scanned that same night, x-rayed later in the day. I required a GI tube. Although weak and in pain still very much alive.
On second day another round of X-rays.

By third day I was able to go on liquid diet and shortly after on solids. Never appreciated Jello as much in my life.

Received 3 or 4 solid meals during my stay. Food delicious with mashed potatoes and meatloaf for example .

There was a parade of nurses visiting and monitoring and sticking all kinds of needles in my body. That helped me recover and eventually get better. Had visits with my concerned family physician. Nurses here do seem to care about their jobs. Compassionate and understanding.

Who ever wants to stay in a hospital and be hooked up to a machine? Not you and I.

Maybe a nurse or two had a bad day or felt overwhelmed, hence complaints from others. I've experienced none of that.
On day 4, after another meal of breakfast and lunch, I was well enough to go home.
Because of genuine care and concern of nurses and physicians here, I am here to see yet another day.
Recovered now and in better health than days and weeks before my hospital stay.
4 star rating, only because I don't want you to get sick and be hooked up to machines and miss work.
Until my final days , so long...

Not sure The hospital actually helping ER patients. There people in this waiting room for 16 hours…sure may not be critical care, but still bramptons morgue moves faster. The nurses here started offering water and food. Not sure any other hospital with wait times so long the nurses take up waitressing while on shift.

I waited 4 hours in Emerg with a workplace burn to my hand. It was quiet. My manager wanted a form 8 filed asap and to be checked out. My ice pack was no longer cool and I was in pain. I honestly didn’t feel an ounce of caring. I left with no script for burn ointment but did get my employer’s form. I went home and awoke with blisters, indicative of second degree burns. Its sad to know our hospital is below standard. I’m very disappointed.

Went in with back and shoulder pain. Asked if my rib was out of joint as it had happened twice in the past. Doctor tried to gaslight me saying that was impossible to happen, she said ribs can't go out of joint. She said it was probably muscle or tendon pain. Didn't even touch me, had to fight for an X-ray. Told me they can't do ultrasounds at the hospital despite me having had an ultrasound there before on my shoulder. Went home in pain with nothing.

I’ve been going in and out with my daughter from this emergency every time I go in they say she’s okay I literally explained she’s been sick for 3 weeks and fevering nonstop they did X-ray they said everything was okay next day I get a call from my daughters doctor in Sudbury saying my daughter has pneumonia the fact that I explained to them please check if she has pneumonia or fluid in her lungs or something else as she has health problems kidney problems they were 100 percent sure she was okay unbelievable, I’ve been there for myself and my other kids we got turned away I went there for heavy bleeding due to having blood cloths in my lungs and I am on blood thinners the doctor did not even exam me she said Tylenol that’s it !

First I thought I was the problem but clearly no I wasn’t I was just explaining my pain and my thoughts they don’t even give you the time to talk I mean the female doctor who has blond hair up to hair shoulders older just took a sneak peak and said nothing walked away when I tried talking to her she denied everything she did wrong I told her we come to the emergency for a reason we’re not playing a game , honestly they need to change they are so moody and nasty the way they talk to people and here we are trusting them with our health !

So far, so good. Visited many times in the last couple of months and didn’t find any issue with staff or the way hospital works. Sometimes you have to wait for so long for the registration and that is the worst part. Else everything is good.
Thank You health care workers!

This hospital desperately needs to change its practice of not allowing companions for patients in Emerg. In July of 2022, my husband (60 yrs old), unexpectedly passed away while in Emerg and I was not permitted to be with him. He was sadly misdiagnosed and was in a lot of cardiac pain. He messaged me in the afternoon and told me how much pain he was in. I returned to the hospital and spoke to the male nurse to let him know. He just turned and walked away from me. When I quickly went back to the hospital in the early morning hours following my husband’s death, the woman Dr had already left. The male nurse who had looked after my husband was sitting at the desk. He didn’t even greet me or express his condolences. He just looked at me and then went back to his writing. Some staff are definitely lacking in professionalism and compassion. What a horrible experience!
