Yesterday, our shower/tub handle broke and the faucet couldn’t be turned off, and we had to shut the water off to the house. We called a bunch of plumbers and Superior was able to come out. When he showed up he looked at the issue, and made a couple phone calls. He decided that the entire shower handle/faucet needed to be replaced as the cartridge and possibly the mixer had broken. He told us that only comes in a kit, and the entire thing would cost us $1800 to replace. That seemed extremely steep, as our bathroom is newly renovated and the shower install didn’t cost us that to begin with.

We ended up taking the handle off ourselves and took the broken cartridge to a plumbing store in Peterborough. We found out that Moen products (or at least the one we own) warranties their products for life. So we were given a new cartridge, at no cost, and we installed it ourselves.

The entire process took about half an hour, and is now completely fixed.

The guy who came out was very nice, however, the cost difference is outrageous. It was worth having him come out and diagnose the problem, as it could have been much bigger of a problem. However, a free, warrantied product and $1800 is a big difference.

If you’re looking to get ripped off and over pay for a simple job then these fools are for you! $3200 to cut a piece of pipe and replace it. Took advantage of my older mom. Sent one incompetent man who stood around and doesn't even have the experience to make his own quote. LOL WHAT A JOKE.

EDIT: They sent a bill for $135 (for doing nothing and telling us our A/C was working fine) so I've reduced my rating to 1 star.

Our AC stopped working on Monday and by Tuesday the house was becoming increasingly warm due to the heat wave we have been experiencing this week. Called Superior and they were able to send someone the same day which was good. However, the service person who came was not thorough at all, did not look inside the AC unit and concluded that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the AC, it was just "really hot out lately" and it was trying its hardest to keep up. And he went on his way. So, two days pass, the house is at 81 degrees and it's 36 outside with the humidity and even the basement, which is typically very cool, is unbearably hot. We finally decided to get a second opinion and called another company who arrived in less than an hour and within 15 minutes had diagnosed the issue (a completely broken capacitor). Within 30 minutes they had replaced the part and had the unit up and running again. Had the person from Superior done their due diligence and been more thorough they could have discovered this, as the person from the other company called it, "easy fix" and we wouldn't have had to suffer in stifling temperatures for 3 days. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because they were able to send someone so quickly and they did not charge for the call (so far).

Woke up in the morning had no heat called superior. They got somebody in within the hour replace the part that was broken and now I have heat. They were very fast. Thank you.

I have been using Superior for all of my HVAC needs since 1983. They recently replaced my ageing central air system (23 years old). As usual they did a great job. That's why I've been a customer for 39 years.

Absolutely amazing! I called and within the hour a very friendly and helpful service technician arrived. He diagnosed the problem, replaced a defect part, and we now have cold air again. Cannot recommend too highly
