A Seamless Experience at Tacoma Immigration Medical Center

I recently had the opportunity to visit the tacoma Immigration Medical Center for my immigration medical examination, and I must say that my experience was exceptional from start to finish. This medical center truly understands the unique needs of immigrants and provides a seamless and professional service that is second to none.

From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by friendly and welcoming staff members who made me feel at ease. The receptionist was well-informed and efficiently guided me through the check-in process, ensuring that I had all the necessary paperwork and documents. Their attention to detail and organization greatly impressed me, as they effortlessly handled a busy waiting room with professionalism and grace.

The medical center's facilities were clean, modern, and well-maintained. The waiting area was comfortable, with ample seating and a calm atmosphere. The examination rooms were equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, and I appreciated the attention given to maintaining a hygienic environment.

Came here today for immigration medicals and had a wonderful experience. Emily at the front desk was amazing and lightened up the mood for everybody. Special kudos for her. Dr. Chao very patiently explained the whole process.

I have had three relatives from Ukraine undergo an immigration medical examination here. The staff are very efficient. They answer questions on the phone and by email. Dr Chao is very nice and diligent.

Usually a wait, usually a helpful doctor at the end of the wait. In the meantime receptionists treat you like children and do everything they can to ignore you. Trying to be reasonable, patient and polite doesn't get you far with these receptionists. This is over two years of occasional visits to this particular clinic.

Racist and Rude. I would give 0 starts is I could.
They were all rude before knowing anything about me, assuming I'm uneducated because of the colour of my skin.
After spending an hour here waiting, the nurse with the 90's hair was rude to me. I asked her to not speak to me like I'm stupid and she scoffed and walked away.
I tried to speak with the doctor about filling out a form and the rudeness of her nurse and she brushed it off.
I explained I only had $20 and if that was enough, like they told me over the phone. She laughed and said
"My time is worth more than $20" To which I replied
"What about my time? I've been here for over an hour."
She laughed and said, speaking to me slowly nodding, very condescending.
"Yes, my time is worth more."
"Excuse me but you don't need to condescending."
"I'm not being condescending" Then I explained to her how she was talking down to me with her hand up and I said
"You're acting like you're better than me and you're being degrading due to my financial situation."
"Ha! well... I mean."
So I kindly said I would take my business elsewhere.
Now I understand why all the patients in the waiting room were white.

This is horrible. The receptionist is BEYOND rude and unhelpful, and talks down to you. I went in for a concussion, the doctor didn't even tell me if I for sure had one or not, so I was just left wondering. Went to emerge as I figures a doctor there might give me a more detonate answer, but it was a 5 hour wait. So I returned to the walk in, only for the door to be shut. So I knock, and the same rude lady answers, (keep in mind the posted clinic hours say it should still be open) and she proceeds to say the doctor left, and that they 'would look at me in emerge because it was an emergency. Really unhappy with this experience and seen lots of other reviews with issues with the same woman. Patients beware.
