As other reviewers have mentioned, it's concerning how quickly you have responded to this review after repeatedly ignoring my messages.

You have embellished the truth. You told my contractor that his cabinets were not levelled - he took out a level to assure you that they were and that the countertop needed to be measured accordingly. He made no promises of adjusting the cabinets as this would make the cabinets out of square.

I mentioned that "I loved it" prior to coming across these problems that cost time and money. My husband refused for you to come by as your solution was to remove the waterfall altogether. This was unhelpful - given that we paid for the slabs and do not trust that you would replace the countertop should it break during removal. We agreed on a refund instead.

I don't appreciate that accusation - as this is not a tool to make money (given that we lost money). We had to pay out of pocket to fix these issues, and mutually agreed on a refund that did not fully cover that cost. While I appreciate you following through, It's disappointing that it took a bad review and being given the runaround for you to send the remaining amount promised.

I hired Dean’s company to install my kitchen countertops, and the experience has been nothing but frustrating.

Initially, Dean was very friendly, helpful and provided a discount prior to installation. I trusted the great reviews and was happy with the cost/turn-around. However, things took a turn the day of installation. There were multiple issues with Dean’s measurements, which led to incorrect installation.

1. One side of our waterfall was higher than the other - causing a dip on our island. My contractor reminded Dean that though the floors were unlevelled, he needed to measure according to the levelled cabinets.
2. During installation, part of the countertop was installed unlevelled in our wall in order to fit the stove.
3. My contractor spent an additional two hours of work to move the cabinets as the countertop was too long to fit our fridge.

As a result, I was left with a product that did not fit properly, and fixing their mistake cost me additional time and money.

When I pointed out the mistake, Dean refused to take responsibility, insisting that it wasn’t their fault—even though I had trusted them as the professionals to get it right. He gave me the runaround—making excuses, delaying responses, not showing up for scheduled phone calls. I reached out to another countertop company for a second opinion who agreed that this installation was done poorly due to incorrect measurements.

After pressing Dean, he finally sent his installer to come take a look who continued to avoid responsibility. I had to pay my contractor to come down and meet him so they could work together and move my cabinets upward to “fix” the dip - making our island cabinets out of square.

Because of these issues, we agreed I would receive a partial refund (which covered less than half of what I paid to fix these mistakes). However, Dean has ignored my messages has not given me the full amount owed. His lack of accountability and poor communication only added to the frustration. Instead of providing good customer service, he left me to deal with the consequences of his error.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this company for a project. I wish I had spent the extra money and went elsewhere. A business that doesn’t stand by its work and fails to correct its mistakes properly is not one you can trust. I regret hiring them and would not recommend Dean to anyone looking for reliable, professional service.

Dean and team did a fantastic job with the Quartz countertops... he was extremely responsive and understanding when a misunderstanding resulted in the wrong counters being placed, however without drama and even while Dean was over seas, his team redid the counters within the Holidays. I would not hesitate to recommend Dean and Temastone to anyone, they are professional and we will likely be using them again for a bathroom reno. Thanks again Dean very happy customer

Dean and his team did a great job of our kitchen counters. When Dean came out to measure, he had many suggestions and samples of stone. We went with Silestone Ethereal Glow and couldn't be happier. His team cut the stone exactly as we wanted and it fit perfectly. From when we decided on our stone to installation was 5 days.
I would highly recommend Temastone and will be calling Dean when we do our bathrooms
