The Alexandra Marine and General Hospital : Emergency Department

Terrible people. Waited 3.5 hours to be seen. The doctors are incompetent and don’t know what they are doing. You are quite literally better off driving the extra hour to Stratford ER, atleast you’d be seen and back home rather than sitting in waiting room on hour 4 just for them to misdiagnose. Not just my own experiences, my mother almost died multiple times as she had a hernia at was pinching off the end of her esophagus. She came in dizzy and dehydrated and unable to eat anything. They admitted her and all they did was rehydrate her. A week later she came in again with same issues, still not able to eat anything and they sent her to Stratford where they found the problem immediately. My fiancé refuses to go to goderich ER and I suggest nobody else does either

Long wait time and the doctor shrugged off my 3 year old daughter having pneumonia and said it was a common cold and told me to wait it out and let her get over it. Thanks a lot. You were wrong. Take better care of your patients
