This office is grossly incompetent! We had our pharmacy call in a renewal for a prescription for our daughter. This was the second renewal. First time it went through without a problem. This time our daughter called the Dr.’s office to see if she could get more than one month as she would be working in England for a couple of months. Because the office never recorded the first renewal it was assumed that she didn’t need the prescription. No one communicated this with us so a couple of days went by and the pharmacy sent a second request. This time I followed up with the office manager. I explained to her that our daughter was leaving for England on Sunday. She saw the the first renewal had not been recorded properly and since would contact the Dr. to get the approval. That was Wednesday I left numerous messages for her to update us and we never heard back from her or anyone else in that office. So our daughter is without her medication and leaves for England on Sunday and of course the office is closed until Monday. I wonder if they’d want their loved ones treated so callously.

I’ve been a patient here for 3 years now. Have had nothing but good experiences. I find they answer the phone much more reliably than any dr I’ve ever had in the past. The best is the after hours clinic though for urgent issues. I haven’t had to use urgent care since becoming a patient here.

The wait times are 100% better. Dr. Light is one of nicest men I’ve ever met. He’s been with me battling for disability benefits for about 2 years. That wait is on the government not him. Dr. Light listens, doesn’t rush, and best of all will admit when he needs to investigate something and not make up things as he goes. (PreP in my case). The secretaries have much improved. I think with the new phone system and the ability for patients to book online has eased their work load resulting in them being much happier with their jobs which are no doubt stressful.

Pregnant with a UTI and no one ever called to let me know. They are always booked and can never get you in. Website says after hours on Saturday is 10-1pm. I waited to call when they opened at 10 and they were supposedly booked for the after hours already and said they open the phones at 8:30 (which is literally indicate a NO where on their website). Receptionist insisted I go to emerg room for a UTI since they are full. Perhaps if someone called me weeks back when I had this appointment and my bloodwork and sample came back we wouldn’t be in this issue. The lack of care and compassion is not okay.

DO NOT GET A DOCTOR HERE. The doctors in this place max out their earnings per appointment by rushing you out the door and not giving you the time you actually booked. They’re also late all the time and argue with you constantly. My doctor actually had full out refused to fill out paperwork I needed filled out which led me to file a complaint with the college of physicians. The office manager doesn’t reign in their doctors or receptionists who both treat patients rudely and rush them out of the way.

Dr. Cai has been serving the needs of my children for a few years. I have always had a pleasant experience and never an issue being seen right away, even if it has to be another Doctor at the clinic. The staff who answer the phone are always pleasant when I call.

Dr. Light is awesome. Very friendly and thorough doctor. He is busy but doesn't overbook patients. There is an online booking for appointments. Not sure why some people are complaining about wait times. Almost all types of services have a wait time nowadays, such as service Ontario, passport office, with some things such as cable tech, plumber, and electrician with 5 hr windows.

EDIT: it is worth noting that Dr. MEHTA has a restricted practice on CPSO, where I will be filing a formal complaint.

I have several chronic health conditions that Dr. MEHTA continually asked me to "prove". I asked for an ENT referal in 2023 and in April 2024 I went in to say I was leaving the country for a month and didn't want to miss the referal, and he said he would follow up on it. October 2024 I made an appt to follow up on ENT referal as my Ottawa ENT said I needed a surgery 3 years ago. Dr. MEHTA proceeds to say "I'm not sure where the confusion was but you never got an ENT referal" and made me request audiology and ENT files for him... again. I quit the practice, got my medical file from them which included ENT and audiologist documents sent to him in 2023 for the referal.

I have had a tumor removed from my ear, 13 surgeries total, wear hearing aids... not sure how much more proof was needed.

Also, when I picked up my medical records they printed and charged for doubles of everything. AND the cherry on top is the forms I had brought in for Verification of Disability for my University that are COMPLETELY MISSING from my file, and led to me failing out of my first semester since the Verification forms never made it to them.

They also like to send you between the pharmacy and the dr to refill Rxs, fighting over who is billed for what. Like damn, the patient needs their medications! Ended up using Maple dr online and getting the refill instantly. Tip - get CAA for the free Maple dr visits!

The nurse, Kathy, is the BEST thing about that clinic.
