Every house plant imaginable is here in their beautiful green house alone with wonderful boutique gifts, women’s clothing and accessories, a cafe and lots of Christmas decorations for inside and outside your house. A great place to get you in the Xmas spirit. There is also a cat petting room by the cafe that you can spend time with their beautiful selection of cats.

The Glasshouse Nursery offers so many varieties of plants as well as outdoor furniture and decor. The way they have everything displayed makes for a peaceful and enjoyable shopping experience. The Christmas displays in the Winter are so beautiful! Even if you aren't necessarily going to make a purchase, The Glasshouse is so lovely to take a stroll through and envisioning your garden space is made easy!

We went in seeking advice on indoor fruit trees and were blown away by the customer service and knowledge of Dan (Danny) in the Nursery. He was passionate, friendly, and very knowledgeable - and shared the knowledge in a way we understood and got more excited about it too! We also loved our first impressions walking into this place. The cat café was a lovely surprise, the decor, and atmosphere makes us want to come back soon! Happy to drive 30min to visit again and more often. Supporting local!

First time here and what a great place for plants and giftware and knowledge! Tina gave me the best guide to what and how to grow, starting with my soil. PH is key for all types of plants. Lab tests are best whether clay or sand before adding any amendments! Thanks Tina! Addition: clothing store with beautiful stuff too. Couldn’t resist getting an Aloe Vera plant to boot.😎

The Glasshouse Nursery & Garden Centre is the crown jewel of Chatham and area for their large selection of plants and trees.Be prepared to spend at least and hour or more the first time you visit.We visit at at least three or more times each year.The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Throughly enjoyed the walkabout at the Glasshouse. It was all a bit overwhelming having such incredibly vast array of choices in every single category! Wow, it just kept going and going! The greenery was gorgeous! The bubbling foundations gave such a relaxed vibe throughout the space. This is definitely a one stop shop for everything you need for your home and garden, or for gifts! We will be back!

Impossible to navigate. Majority of the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful - however I did overhear a very nice person discussing the benefits of healthy nematode populations in soil which is why it's not 1 star.

Huge variety of plants, and other kitsch, the kitsch and "other" category far outweigh the simple joy of browsing well cared for, interesting and visually stunning plants.

Dismayed to find huge quantities of salt deposits on the leaves of delicate tropical plants, very sensitive to this ill treatment. It also means that after purchase they require more upkeep and TLC to rebound. Once wiped the leaves still had the salt deposits, indicating either that the water is not filtered or that they are watered from above with sprinklers which are known to cause mildew.

Many succulents were getting leggy straining to find light, and had signs of stress.

Prices were on par with other bland, huge garden centres like Terra Greenhouses.

Lack of signage, smug staff (bordering on rude/clueless), and how much product you have to wade through to find anything green, is definitely a source of frustration, and I'm sure it impacts sales as customers don't usually appreciate being banged on the head by thousands of products, with little to no organization, no clear easy path to "plants" or "greenhouse" despite the name.

Amusing that no signage referring to inside the giant, circuitous labyrinth was met with "here are signs outside showing where plants are".

Have some big, labeled, visible maps in every showroom.

And publicly insulting customers is not the way to do business. I'd suggest reviewing Google maps' terms of service 😇

The staff there is absolutely amazing!! Go above and beyond to ensure you get what you are searching for and make the experience very enjoyable. Had a great laugh, thanks to Danny!!! and great service thanks to both gentlemen that found the elusive hellebore!!!!! Well done!!!
