I’m raising my grand daughter and Dr. Akanayeva has been incredible. My grand daughter had ADHD, gall bladder problems from her early teens, a fainting disorder as well as polycystic kidney disease. All complex and difficult to treat. She helped as resolve as many problems a possible in an incredibly professional, kind and thorough manner. She is the best pediatrician I’ve ever encountered.

My son really likes going here and seeing Dr. Akanayeva. She is a great pediatrician. Very knowledgeable, provides excellent support and has been prompt for referrals. The Tree House facilities are clean and quiet. Her new receptionist is friendly and always offers my son stickers at the end of the appointment.

Dr. Akanayeva was extremely proactive in helping us address our daughters low birth weight. She shared lots of resources and information with us, and gave us the opportunity to ask as many questions as we needed to.

We also love that her clinic is always running on time, and that we get to go directly into the treatment room upon arrival rather than waiting in a waiting room.

She is an incredible doctor but her front staff are heartless. I feel like certain things should be understandable.. my daughter cannot be in the heat, she has anhidrosis, I don’t drive, I don’t have help and she wasn’t supposed to be home but she is, so I cannot go.. they are charging me the 80$.. they know the situation, they know I recently started over with two littles on my own and it’s been hard and they refuse to be understanding. She was nothing but rude. I can’t even believe it’s I either go and risk my daughters life or spend 80$ I don’t have right now.. So I can’t even rebook for my baby right now.

I really like the doctor. I am grateful that she gives different treatment options, not just antibiotics. Another doctor prescribed my baby 3 different antibiotics in one month. She finds out the causes of the disease, and does not treat the symptoms, I find this an important point. I highly recommend her to anyone who is worried about the health of their children. She is best in Fort McMurray

By far the best Pediatrician in town and I have tried 2 other peds that were awful. Dr. Akanayeva is the most thorough doctor I have experienced since being in Alberta. Very polite and gentle demeanour and very clean and bright atmosphere. I have always been greeted with a smile/friendly hello by reception and ask if I needed help as soon as I walk in (I have a set of twins, 4 children in total). Highly recommend!

Receptionist is horrible. She seems nice but the moment you don’t agree with her or ask any questions around “why”….she gets frustrated and then has the dr confront you at your next appointment. My child was discharged for no reason except for the fact that she hadn’t been seen for over a year but anytime I tried to book an appointment, we weren’t allowed if any symptoms fell under “covid symptoms”

Receptionist is horrible! The doctor is not much better! Do your kids a favour and find another Pediatric clinic. When we moved to Edmonton they wouldn’t transfer the medical files and I had quite a fight with them about it and then they only transferred the things they were involved in and not the full history that was transferred to them from our previous clinic.
