I have waited a few months before writing this review because I needed to see a few specialists first. The person performing my facial was Kirsten, who owns “Up North Beauty & Wellness Clinic” and who helped solve my skin problems. I went through 2 GP’s and 4 pharmacists before meeting Kristen. I was not surprised when she told me she started out as a nurse. In my opinion, nurses run the healthcare system. When I had my facial with Kirsten, I knew I was getting truly professional treatment. The facial itself was relaxing, and she performed lots of necessary extractions. Kirsten did not try to sell me numerous skin care products that I didn’t need. Kirsten didn’t even mention products until I asked her and so when she answered, I listened. I listened to Kirsten because she has specialist knowledge (nursing practice) and a desire to maintain good skin care in women of all ages. Hands down, a rating of 5/5 for both Kirsten and her company.

Just to let you know how spectacular Kirsten really is …. She was quick to point out my oily skin (the oiliest skin she had seen in awhile). I knew I had a problem. When I returned to the city, I had an optometrist appointment. Apparently, I had an infection in the lining of my retina that traps oil from my face with bacteria. This infection would cause my eyes to massively tear up, up to 5-10 times per day, it was excessive and frequent. Kirsten mentioned the name of an antibiotic that is known to work well for Rosacea and therefore might work for me. That was the name of the drug that the optometrist prescribed to me and which I am taking now. Kirsten was already treating something in me that hadn't been diagnosed by doctors yet!

The clinic and its owner are exceptional. Period.

I got a lash lift and tint, and eyebrow lamination and tint today, Trinity is so awesome. It was my first time getting a brow lamination and I wasn’t used to the thickness of them, I felt so bad but had to go back and get them waxed a bit more they were too much for me.. as much as I felt bad and figured I was being annoying by coming back, she was still so friendly and professional and helped me to the best of her ability! Kirsten and her team at Up North Beauty are incredibly knowledgeable, skilled and most importantly supportive. I was fortunate enough to train with Kirsten after completing my Aesthetic Injector Certification and she mentored, guided and encouraged me to pursue this career path. Trinity was so amazing today. I brought my little girl with me, which normally goes well. She's usually a happy baby but NOT today. I felt so embarrassed that I didn't have childcare and Trinity was truly awesome with her. She could have easily told me to come back when I don't have my daughter with me. I would have understood. Instead, she made sure that I was able to get my brows waxed while also tending to my daughter. She rocked her in her arms, which was so great, and I love that she asked if she could pick her up first. I appreciated that so much because I don't know anyone around to watch my daughter for even an hour or so. As usual, my brows look amazing. It feels so good to feel like myself again every single time I leave my appointment with her. I will definitely book her for more treatments in the future!! I plan on trying a lash lift someday and I already know that I can trust her to make me look and feel great.
