I found Dr Rebecca Rooney to be very down to earth. Extremely friendly and made me feel very comfortable and very much at ease. She said she'd call me as soon as my results are in and she did,and was just as happy as I was with the good news.

As a follow up review- I saw Rebecca Rooney last year. Absolutely traumatized by this experience. She was fat phobic- and said she would not fix me until I lost weight (which I did, 75lbs and counting) to be exact. And even if I did lose weight, she didn’t want to fix me in my 20s incase I changed my mind. I told her I’d rather… than have to experience the abortion process and begged her to consider the fact I have a disabled child at home. Birth control has caused a stroke and this is all she was willing to discuss with me. After BEGGING and in tears, she agreed if I lost weight and after a full physical and invasive pelvic exam would she CONSIDER a tubal (not what I asked for). I’ve now had my worst nightmare come true after listening to her advice and recommendations. Now finding silver linings after the trauma I have experienced. Praying I don’t run into her in the GYN units.
Do not recommend- find another OBGYN who recognizes women/people know what’s best for their body.

Dr Powell is AMAZING!! I give her 100 stars!!

However, trying to get the date and time of my appointment is worse than pulling teeth. I have this thing called a full time job. I work from 7am-4pm and cannot access my cell phone during these hours. Even though online it says there are 3 days a week they're open until 5, every time I call they're closed and their voice-mail says to call again the next business day. The receptionist (the one with no brain cells who everyone else has complained on here about) will not leave a voicemail with the date and time of my appointment. This is the ONLY doctors office I've ever had to deal with that leaves multiple messages over weeks only saying "we have an appointment for you. Call us back". When am I supposed to call to get an answer? Am I supposed to call into work just so I can get an appointment time I would love to recommend Dr. Powell to others because she is so, so amazing, however I will not because it's so difficult to deal with the receptionist.

Had a really awful experience today. I was basically bullied by a nurse; not Dr Powell who was - is always so nice & professional .
I heard her nurse assistant gossiping and making extremely distasteful comments about me while sitting waiting for the doctor and as I was leaving.
She had the audacity to say "what did you think you came here for? "(and when I told her she basically rolled her eyes)
"what did SHE think she came for" (as I was waiting in the room; she was speaking to her colleagues)
"why is she even here "(again to her colleagues, as I was waiting in the room)
"yeah that's her " (as I was walking out , she was speaking to a receptionist)

I have no idea why she is so offended by my healthcare decisions. Or why she lacked any professionalism.
Haven't a clue what else she said about me, but what I did hear was unprofessional, unkind and judgemental- things you don't want to experience in a trusted doctors office.

I have never been bullied like this since highschool. It really is true that bullies get into healthcare. So sad because I trusted Dr Powell. I'm afraid to see this girl again and have similar experiences.

Dr Sorge is the best. She listens you very carefully and also makes you feel very comfortable. My delivery was normal only because of Dr.C.Sorge. I had a c section before and was very much worried about my second delivery but she is a life saver.

I seen Rebecca Rooney last year and I am still traumatized to this day. I was looking for a partial hysterectomy. She refused to fix me, even with a tubal and tried to force birth control, vasectomy (like I can control my sexual partners bodies) or abstinence in my 20’s. I have two children one with severe disabilities and I had to be very blunt with her before she would Even consider any other options. She said I was “too fat” for surgery and needed to lose weight first. And she would consider my request after a full pelvic exam and ultrasound. 1 year later… I am still waiting to hear from the ultrasound clinic they were supposed to call. Have yet to hear back from the reception after leaving multiple messages. Do not recommend.
