My experience has been improved over the last 4 months since my doctor joined this clinic. I had bad experience in the past but office staff has improved and rectify those issues.

This clinic has a poster in the Pilot Butte Library advertising that they take new patients and walk-ins. I called to see what the wait time was going to be for a walk-in and the person on the phone was very rude and said that they don’t accept new patients. I tried reminding her of the poster advertising their services and she was INCREDIBLY mean to me and then hung up the phone abruptly. I don’t understand why they would advertise one thing and then not fulfill that.

I too have had great difficulty contacting this clinic by phone where my family doctor is practising. I need to get renewals on prescriptions but could not get a pickup on my many phone calls. 9 tries within one week. I finally had to find a doctor elsewhere to see me and provide me with renewals of my prescriptions. It appears to me that this clinic needs to hire more staff and actually train them. The following is what I found out about medical clinic licensing in Sask. The government apparently doesn't care either

"In Saskatchewan, medical clinics generally have a duty to provide reasonable access for patients to communicate with the clinic, which typically includes answering or returning phone calls. While this is not explicitly legislated, it aligns with professional and ethical standards for healthcare providers, such as ensuring timely access to care and maintaining effective communication with patients."

Do not do refills on time. Can't seem to get through to speak to anyone. I have called 35+ times today alone. Only to FINALLY get through to be HUNG UP on. Find another Dr. Unless you like waiting....

My family doctor had recently moved to this clinic. Many of her patients have followed her for good reason. Recently I spent three days trying to reach this clinic with no answer. They do not have an answering machine they put you through this long slow hold message just to tell you to call back and then hangs up on you. After I FINALLY get ahold of this place I get a very confrontational almost rude receptionist lecturing me on how my doctor is very busy with old clients and now new - cool I’m aware she’s been my family doctor for over ten years now so I’m aware of how busy she can be- I don’t need a lecture I need an appointment. She was hell set on a date and time that I told her multiple times would not work - I was clear I don’t need to see her TODAY but her first available appointment for 2:30-3 ( since I have to go out there from the city now) would be fine and she just said the same date and time. Then she abruptly put me on hold and never came back. I hung up and emailed them - a whole day later I finally got a response saying 3:15 the followin week. Okay. Great. I get there. See my doctor everything’s great. Today I go to the pharmacy and they received all my refills except for one so I called the clinic as I need this refill today - she proceeds to tell me I need to make an appointment. I said no. I just had an appointment with her this week I’m not making an appointment and coming all the way out there for a refill on something that was missed. I clearly told her I am at the pharmacy right now with my pharmacist we just need to get authorization to fill this thing. I’m welcomed once again with a confrontational “okay hold” We sat on hold for a half hour and counting before we hung up cuz she needed to carry on with her day. The fact that this clinic thought it was not only okay to be ignorant to me and waste a half hour of my time but also waste the time of a very busy pharmacist is absolutely repulsive to me. I’ve never had problems like this before and honestly if it wasn’t for my doctor I’d never step foot in that place again. I now get the privilege of wasting another 3 hours of my life in a walk in clinic to fill my prescription because this clinic was absolutely useless. If you can get past the reception - your golden.

Staff is incredibly rude. Called about 11 times with no answer, then put on hold for 25 mins until the call got disconnected. Finally when they answer saying “can you please hold?”, I said “I’m sorry, I can’t, this is urgent”. I was met with a rude “okay you need to hold” and promptly placed me on hold again, cutting me off mid sentence. Will definitely not be going there anymore.

I have been going to this clinic for 6 or 7 years now, and I always loved it. Both doctors are wonderful, display empathy, are good with young children, and have always helped solve any issues for both myself and many other family members and friends. The old receptionists were prompt, would phone if things changed, and would greet you upon arrival.

Lately the new receptionists they hired recently have made it a disorganized mess. They do not greet you, you walk in and they won't even say hello. More than once now have I phoned and confirmed appointments in advance, or in today's case I was in the office in person on Monday and confirmed a Friday appointment for my daughter as I left, in which a family member took work off to take her today. I received a call while at work telling me there is no appointment today (booked 6 months ago AND was confirmed face to face Monday afternoon by one of the receptionists) while she was already there. This is not the first time this has happened since they hired new receptionists. I have also witnessed the receptionists ignore the phone ringing while scrolling on their own phones, or roll their eyes and sigh when it rings. If you don't want to answer the phone, don't be a receptionist, it's a part of the career. Also, I understand cancellations happen, but common courtesy is to phone and make the patient aware so time is not wasted and they don't have to MISS WORK because the receptionist didn't bother calling to cancel.

I'm torn because I love the doctors and want to stay with them as a patient, but this clinic needs certified office administration oriented staff to run the desk because these new hires are a joke who don't take their job seriously.

I am not impressed at all. I'm also not the only one to experience this; 3 family members have issues, and 2 friends that attend this clinic also have experienced poor interpersonal communication from multiple receptionists. Upon looking at the other reviews, I can see we aren't the only ones who wish they'd hire more experienced staff who are more friendly and more organized.

Disappointed the clinic isn't what it used to be at all. If it weren't for both the doctors work ethic and professionalism, I would switch immediately.

Years of doctors telling me to lose weight and take advil......I finally found Dr amadasun and he has been so amazing. I finally got the the specialists I needed and since been diagnosed. He is kind, he actually cares and if he doesn't know something he says so and refers you to someone who does. By far the best doctor I have seen in my 16 years in the city.
