So far so good. A bit pricey but it has been worth it considering the various classes that are available. My favorite is Ringside (boxing/kickboxing) Sean’s class is the best!! His workouts are beginner friendly, intense, challenging and fun! Not to mention his music playlist is fire! Only downside is his class fills up fast!

The actual gym is nice as well. Hasn’t been overcrowded since joining. Weights/machines are almost always available which is a plus!

My home gym, super friendly people and open to taking and incorporating feedback. Lots of equipment availability and classes as well.

A big shout-out to Julie from the front desk for being an absolute rockstar, and Savion from member services for getting me in the door and helping me make the most of my membership.

I stopped in yesterday to pick up something. The guy that helped me was very nice. However, the people at the front desk made my daughter feel uncomfortable. They were staring at us like we were aliens. I thought it was just me, but my daughter mentioned it when we left. I’m glad there are other locations to choose from. This experience was odd.

Unfortunately this facility has an over abundance of employees which results in the awkward micro-managing of members (saw a cleaning member snap & cuss for their being a towel left on the floor & today was followed after entering and was questioned why I was in the locker room with out a lock?).

❌micro-managing of member behavior as if you are a toddler.

❌Chick Filet & WAC share the same staffing model which is to have 85 employees stuffed behind the counter; totally unnecessary, intimidating, not welcoming, not chill.

❌wasted $15 being chastised for not placing my bag in a locker, so when offered a key ? = take the key or u may regret it.

⚜️Apparently its the original WAC & Im glad the owners appreciated the unique charms & have not ruined the place with over zealous remodeling (as they sadly have at their other locations here in Milwaukee).

This location should be landmarked.
& it could be run more profitably with 80% less employees.

Visionary

Truthfully this gym is outdated and over priced at $83 a month. Most of the weight equipment is outdated besides the new trainer room, which is only open to the public for a couple hours three times a week at odd times. The gym seems to be focused on pickle ball players, which gives it more of a club feel rather than a gym. There is one pickle ball court with a basketball hoop that is bent and the netting falling off. The building itself is outdated, so the formatting is very odd with navigating around to each room. The pool room, out door courts and bar are also very much so outdated. You also have to walk through the turf room to get to the locker rooms to and from the pool, which is a little weird while others lift. Also, when it is hot/humid outside, it brings a very bad odor to the inside of the gym and the air flow is bad. Overall, certain WAC's are worth $83 (Menominee Falls, Brookfield), but the West Allis location is still so outdated that it makes zero sense at that price value. There's literally a brand new gym in VASA that is three times the size that offers everything besides pickle ball and a bar for only $30 a month. It be great if they offered better pricing. They do offer a cheaper membership strictly for West Allis but they only give you limited time to go (you can't go between 4-8PM).

Been a member for close to 15 years, use to love this location, management and employees were great. Currently this place has gone down hill, new general manager and fitness manager are terrible with members. Unfortunately after 15 years I will no longer be going to your West Allis location, maybe they can learn from your other locations.

Before the pandemic I was a WAC member for many years. Sadly I never recognized how friendly the staff was and at West Allis location they are great. helpful at every turn.

the facilities are good to great. train staff is knowledgeable and I have enjoyed (at least after I was done) the one boost class I have taken.

pool is wonderful and good hot tub.

it appears to me, that all the Equipment was working and in good repair.

and the place has a bar inside. fun.

UPDATE west allis WAC is remodel and is pretty awesome.
Great people. Fun workouts.
