Afrocan is my go-to store for everything I need, from authentic African foodstuff to quality hair products. The variety is impressive, and the prices are generally affordable, though a few items are priced slightly higher than other places. The store is conveniently located just 15 minutes from my home, which is a big plus.

However, the customer service could use some improvement. While most employees are polite and welcoming, a couple of staff members (Ghanaian ladies) seem unhappy and have been less courteous in their interactions. I hope the store owner considers offering training to ensure a consistently pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

That said, I keep coming back because they stock the products I need and make it easy to find what I’m looking for. Overall, it’s a good store that could be even better with a few adjustments.

Came here to buy a few things, went to checkout and kindly asked the lady to change her gloves because they were dirty. She proceeded to give us attitude and refused to serve us and walked away from the till and left all our stuff on the belt and told us we must go to the other lady while there were other customers behind us. When we proceeded to the second till, the other lady served everyone else who was after us, before us. Disrespectful and dirty staff, would not recommend this a good place to shop.

My experience at the Afrocan Supermarket was mixed. While the store offers a wide variety of items, I found the prices to be a bit on the higher side. Upon entering, the staff didn’t seem particularly friendly or welcoming, which affected the overall atmosphere. However, I did manage to speak to one staff member about an item I was looking for, and he was both friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s an okay place to shop, but there is room for improvement in customer service.
They have fresh (in the cold fridge ) jollof rice and fried fish , along with a few other cooked foods.
There is a free parking lot. So it’s a bonus if you like to give it a try

Store is full and well stocked. However, I
visited the store several times but this day customer service was horrible. The two customer attendants were acting as if there was a bereavement somewhere. They were both speaking their beautiful local dialects. Attitude was simply unpleasant. This is peculiar to this store. Management, please do something about this. This is a business and money is exchanging hands. If you don't feel like working and giving excellent customer service stay at home. Don't spoil African businesses and don't wreck the owner, with your nonchalant attitude.

November 27 2024 I was my first visit so got in 5 minutes before closing. The lady was rude that she didn’t want to show me where l can find what l was looking for. I will never go back. The man was nicer

They are very rude my goodness. When she gave me my balance I asked for coins and she was raising her voice and told me I can't do that I have other customers you should have told me before you put your staff I was so embarrassed 😣 am never coming back here. The previous time I greeted her and she just stared at me the lady at the counter is always mad about something. Lol

I have been in the store on two occasions and both times, . The staff were less than pleasant . Several weeks ago I called the store to ask them if they had oxtail in stock (i was purchasing a larger than normal quantity) and how much it was per pound. The man that answered the phone refused to tell me the price per pound telling me it was confidential information and that they don’t share prices over the phone!! just crazy ..Perhaps they need to learn a little bit about customer service because I took my business elsewhere and will not return to this store.
