I was told to call from my dr office as they couldn’t get my son in. I asked if they would see him same day, our dr said yes. Proceeded to call. My son was on speaker phone. Proceeds to tell his symptoms. Was told nope we don’t have room for you today. You should go see an optometrist. A few hours later my son sees an ER dr. HE IS TOLD YOU HAVE THE WORST SINUS INFECTION WE HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!!! Ok so how can you be so wrong, don’t answer the phone and tell someone something so wrong. He is violently sick. Thank god we didn’t waste our time going to an optometrist!! Not the first bad experience here. This experience was Aug 12. Whichever staff is answering phones that aren’t qualified or whatever needs to go!!!!

Do they have different policies outside of Ontario Patients Rights?

I have gotten a regular inhaler every month since I was 16. If it's allergy season or very cold weather then I might use it a little more but basically that's it. They have a monthly fee for over the phone prescription renewals. I tried to pay online and it would not process. This happened before and I let them know, there has to be glitch with the online form. I updated the card for the payment, the bank verified there is nothing wrong with the card and all the info is up to date. Instead of acknowledging there is a glitch with their website. The nurse at the doctor's office hyper focussed on details like it's a new email and a new card - both are updated. Then she said I "cancelled it" implying that I cancelled after they renewed so I wouldn't have to pay monthly - that is not so, my card was misused by an online company and I had to get a new card and when I updated it their website did not take it and I let them know right away. Then this turns into an excuse to make an appointment just to pay the annual fee which is a hundred dollars. I nicely explained I don't have an extra hundred I can pay the monthly fee though. Plus I'm working and have no way to get there. More importantly - it's not necessary. I don't go to the doctor unless I'm sick. Well she doesn't like that, the nurse hasn't seen me in 3 years she says so I better go in. There is not requirement to see them regularly. Then she sends me a phone message telling me not to email anymore. When I call their msg says 6 calls in waiting which means at least half hour wait. So I send another email - if they can do a phone appointment can they make the appointment for today and renew the inhaler. She sends another phone message. Then sends an email with an appointment for 6 days from now...and no won't renew one inhaler in the meantime!!! It's a phone call, that's all it takes. What do they need to update The last phone message she sent she stated that she told the pharmacy not to deal with me and they agreed not to deal with me in the future if I don't have the appointment. They are refusing to let me pay the fee online, they are refusing therefore a needed medication which is a violation of patient rights, they are putting off an appointment for six days for a medication I need today and told the pharmacy not to give me service. I want this looked into.

Gone are the days of walking in and seeing a doctor. Instead you need to call and describe your symptoms to a nurse who will decide whether you get an appointment with a doctor. These gate keepers are fairly stringent. There are better options in the area.
They did call back promptly when they said they would.

I do have a doctor on the "list" so I did go here when I needed to be seen. You do have to arrive when they open, as this is not (at least to my understanding) an all hours type of walk in. The doctor I did see was professional, yet personable, and provided a correct diagnosis and treatment. Will use this service again as needed.

I'd give negative stars if I could. Maybe it's just Dr Taylors team, but with 6 week waits for an appt, 3 hr waits PAST appt time to get in, booking appts when offices are closed, and the worst, rudest and least friendly receptionist staff I've ever met.

Not open n Friday. I have been to 6 clinics and there is no open Walk in Clinics in Sarnia on Friday afternoons. Walk in no longer means walk in so change your name

Receptionist was unprofessional and extremely unhelpful. Didn't bother to understand the question, just a flat refusal and shutdown. Will not go back.

Excellent staff, made me feel comfortable and explained the procedure. Clean, modern, knowledgeable. Only problem was the ignorant whiney other patients.
