Not sure what was going on that day but me and my wife went in to see about rent assistance and we're basically looked at like poo on a shoe. Seems like they are more willing to help certain people and the others can just kick rocks.

Thank you very much for all of your help when I was getting my heart surgery. And when I had my back surgery 10 months later. I appreciate all of your help with the medical bills. And the home checks to make sure that I had everything I needed. I hope you all a speedy recovery after hurricane Ian. And am sorry to say that I no longer live on Captiva. Best wishes. I live in fort Myers and have been going there once a month for almost 2 years. I am terminally ill and my disability barely covers my expenses.. the staff was always amazingly wonderful. They were a god send. Until today. I had my friend bring me and I was stopped inside the door by a woman I had never seen. When she seen my address was fort Myers? She handed me a paper bag with 10 items in it. All of which I can't eat. No milk no eggs no toiletries which I need the most? I asked her if she could add milk and she said this is what non residents now get... If you don't want it? Leave for someone else. It's embarrassing for someone that has always helped others and worked my whole life to have to swallow their pride to take handouts as it is but to be talked to with such disrespect? That woman was absolutely horrible and I will never go back. I'd go hungry before I will ever be humiliated like that again. And what's worse is 80 % of donated items to them come from fort Myers Costco so shame on you Sanibel.. I've never seen fort Myers turn away a Sanibel resident... Shame on you.. God bless the rest of the volunteers that have always been so kind and helpful.

So very grateful for your heartfelt services. We brought my 93 year old mother and FISH provided and delivered a walker, wheelchair and shower chair FOR NO CHARGE! The love of Jesus Christ has been shown to us and we are forever thankful!

FISH has been helping this single mom for the last two years and I am so appreciative. With a great staff of people, who never make you feel beggerly, FISH can't go wrong. I'm so happy to have been able to take advantage of this wonderful provision of food on Sanibel Island.

I am a single parent since my son was 5 years old no family , no other support not even child support . But i want to give my son the best education so he was in Sanibel School and since then i know F.I.S.H and when ever i need help F.I.S.H is there for me not only financially every one there is very friendly very empathetic not judgmental. Especially Maggie ,Nintza every one .
Thank you F.I.S.H for everything now my son is in U.C.F with scholarship doing double majoring .These all happens because F.I.S.H helps me still ...
