The waiting room is full of patients, and slowly visiting their patients . I went there at 8 am to examination my ear after 11 reception called my number. After visiting , nurse told me you can go home because the waiting time is about several hours. She took my phone number to send me messages 30 minutes prior to my appointment. In the late afternoon I received messages to return the clinic within 10 minutes. I told her I live in North Vancouver and it approximately takes 30 minutes to return.

Front desk staff, the nurse I saw and the doctor were all so wonderful. Took 15 minutes for intake with the nurse and I was called back to see the doctor less than 1.5 hours later. Really efficient system and everyone I interacted with were reassuring and knowledgeable.

I showed up before it was open to wait in line, doors open and they say they can only take 14 people all day. this rating is not a reflection of the workers but at my frustration in finding medical care.

I was relieved to have found a clinic where I did not need an appointment with, as i am in pain and cannot see my doctor until 2 weeks from now. Only to not even make it to the front of the line. Again not a reflection of the workers, I’m sure they are doing their best and working hard in a system where there is not enough support.

When I arrived there was already probably 25 people waiting. I’m not sure where this leaves anything, other than needing more urgent medical support that is not the ER.

Just be aware you may not make it even if they say no appointments, but worth a shot if you have the time and capacity to wait.

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience during my first visit to this clinic on Jun 6 around 2pm. The phone message clearly stated that the last patient would be seen at 4:00 PM on Sunday which is why I made the effort to go instead of hospital. However, when I got there, I was told otherwise. When I explained that I was simply following what the phone system said, the receptionist blamed me for not staying on the line to speak to someone, rather than acknowledging the conflicting and misleading information.

Once inside, the nurse asked me what was going on, and I explained my symptoms. She immediately told me that she couldn’t give me a diagnosis — which I never asked for. I was there to see a doctor. Her tone was rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. At one point, she even asked me, “Have you been sick before?”, which felt unnecessary, insensitive, and judgmental. Then she asked, “Can you wait until tomorrow?” — a question that truly shocked me. I came to urgent care because I believed my symptoms couldn’t wait. Yes, maybe I won’t die today — but is that really the standard for deciding who gets care?

To make things worse, I was feeling extremely unwell and fatigued, and I couldn’t immediately tell which door was the exit. When I asked for help, the nurse pointed and said “there’s a sign on the door”, in a tone that felt impatient and lacking the most basic empathy.

This entire experience left me feeling disrespected, dismissed, and unwelcome. As a first-time patient coming in with discomfort and uncertainty, I expected clear communication and at least a minimal level of compassion. Instead, I left feeling worse than when I arrived — emotionally and physically.

I truly hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously and makes real improvements in how it communicates with patients and trains staff to treat people with kindness and respect — especially those who are seeking urgent care.

I don't mind waiting for 5 hours to get help since I'm used to horrible doctors who make me wait far longer for a chance at health care.

When I got in the receptionist was very kind and showed concern for my symptoms such as sudden blindness, deafness, major memory loss problems, extreme head and frequent chest pain.
The nurse that saw me also expressed concern and I actually started to have hope that I could finally get some help after 16 years of negligence from my family doctor.

But when I finally got to the doctor she rushed in, brushed off my symptoms and called it anxiety (forgetting who you are and where you are when you wake up, suddenly collapsing and being unable to breathe with no external factors and crippling pain is just normal anxiety and it's totally normal to start having it 4 years old and never going away) She said that she won't make a referral to a nueralologist and kept telling me to talk to my family doctor. Even though I explained that I've seen her multiple times and she calls me a liar and doesn't believe I could possibly be in so much pain. My family doctor isn't the type of person to care.

And just like my family doctor, this doctor was in and out in less than 5 minutes on to shove off the next patient and tell them there's nothing wrong with being in so much pain.

I am beyond disappointed of quality of care I received when I attended Urgent Care last Thursday.

I attended the clinic because of a sore throat that felt and looked beyond a standard cold. I went to Urgent Care to be able to diagnose the situation and follow up with what was needed to be done to cure this. My guess at the time, not being a medical professional, was that I had developed strep throat. Additionally, I had puffy eyes. When the doctor saw me he completed a swab test and came back to tell me that I have strep throat and prescribed me Amoxicillin. He forgot to check my eyes and stated that it is probably conjunctivitis (pink eye) which I found odd as the only symptom I had was these being puffy. I left that day, got my prescription and went on taking that for the next 4 days. By Sunday, nothing had improved. In fact, I was in way worse shape. My throat was closed up and the bacteria had grown exponentially. I went to the Park and Tilford Clinic due the immense pain. Mind you every day on top of the antibiotic I was having extra strength Advil and Tylenol just to limit the pain. The doctor at the Clinic took a look and I told I was diagnosed with strep and he was interested at the choice of antibiotics and dosage. I was switched to Penicillin and by Friday (yesterday) my throat was almost fully healed. This makes a totally of 9 days of antibiotics.

Unfortunately this is not the end, I have at this point developed a reaction all over my body (rash, swelling, itching, red dots). It progressively got worse. So I attended Urgent Care yet again and thank god this doctor properly check everything, my spleen, my previous swab test, questioned me regarding my energy levels and fatigue. I was told my swab came back negative, which came as a shock to me as the previous doctor didn’t tell me the test would take 2-3 days. This is made me very upset for many reasons: 1. I was not informed of my results 2. this could be any virus at this point, 3. I have been taking antibiotics when I didn’t need to be, 4. I should’ve had blood work done prior to diagnosis, 5. wasting my time and further damaging my health. I was very thankful for the doctor I saw yesterday as she was knowledgeable however the doctor I saw the week prior seemed to be unsure of what he was doing. It seemed as though he was agreeing with what I had guessed I had and didn’t take the proper procedure to see what I actually had. I missed work due to this and sat at the LGH emergency due to the level of my reaction. The LGH doctor had now officially diagnosed me with Mono which does not require antibiotics and Amoxicillin in fact caused this reaction, which will last for about 4 days and I will be taking steroids to settle my reaction.

I am not one to write reviews which is to show how unbelievably upset I am of level of education and knowledge that I experienced. As patients, we go to doctors because we trust them to understand procedures. I am not saying every person has to be perfect but every other doctor I have seen since him has been very confused regarding the thoughts and process that was chosen. Now the consequences are not only being impact towards me but also the people in my life around who I may also be impacted. All because of careless mistake.

For sake of not ruining the reputation of this doctor I have avoided using his name. This individual very clearly needs to go back and read up on the protocols and procedures because I am extremely furious of my outcomes and the time that has been wasted. In the future, if you don’t know or don’t have evidence maybe consult with someone before pushing for antibiotics. Unimpressed.

I am truly thankful for the wonderful service and help that I received these past couple of days! I want to say thank you so very much from the receptionists who were patient with me and kindly helped me with check in and setting up triage to all the nurse practitioners who delivered exceptional care.

Thank you nurse pactitioner Emma for staying late and helping me with my current condition! I appreciate you so very much - very professional and highly skilled indeed!🤗

Thank you Sol, Hannah and Penny as well! You all work as a great team providing great support for the North Vancouver community. ☺️

I was absolutely impressed by nurse practitioner Chelsie today with how thorough her history taking of my complaint and examination were! You are an absolute gem! 😄

It can be a bit busy however they gave me a time to come back and messaged me to head in when it was my time which allowed me to wait at home instead of all day on the clinic. Highly recommend the service at this clinic! Top notch attention to detail! 🤗😊

I visited the clinic and everyone was wonderful. There were so many people who needed seeing so there will understandably a wait to register but then you are triaged. The receptionist was dealing with a lot of people but was kind and welcoming. The nurse was lovely and made me feel relaxed and everyone who did my scans/tests was friendly. And the Dr I then saw was one of the kindest doctors I've had - very warm, explained everything clearly and took time with my questions. Very happy that I came here. They centre is clearly running at capacity but it is doing the best it can given that people are also likely ending up in urgent care because they can't get appointments at their family Dr/walk-ins (or dont have a family Dr). I'm really grateful to everyone there, thank you.
