This has to be one of he best addictions treatment programs within Ontario. Prioritizes quality over quantity when it comes to the length of the stay, for it to be successful however you have to really want to be sober and put in the work. Very open minded and friendly staff.

This is my second time at Newport. My counselors were Erin and John. Erin was amazing. I loved her free spirit and her drive to help addicts. John was awesome. He was my I dividual counselor and his support has been really helpful to my recovery. Thank you Erin and John and Newport!!!!! Graduation tomorrow!!!!!!!!

Newport was excellent, the staff are friendly, don't talk down to you. The food is quite good for hospital food and there is lots of downtime with lots to do (pool table, volleyball, hockey, games, etc.). I've been 34 days sober thanks to newport!

The program here was a joke to say the least going to the groups/classes is completely optional you could skip every single one and they wouldn't say anything to you about it. Not that you'd be missing something information or whatever it is that they're trying to teach you because it's all common sense it's all basically kindergarten level stuff I didn't learn anything new and overdosed 5 days after getting out.

Well worth the wait for an intake date. The counselors and support staff all truly care about one's success in the program, they have been educated and some have had addiction experiences of their own. I would strongly recommend this place over private rehab facilities that aren't regulated. I attended "Stillwater " in welland and managed to stay 10 days. The quality and structure of Newport is superior over Stillwater, and you don't have to pay $12,000!

The councilors are great and most of them are past addicts so they know exactly what they are talking. They like to put a fun spin on teaching. They deserve better funding

This place rocks. I was there in 2015 for a few weeks and they took care of me. It's best not to go there while still being under the influence. Thats what detox centers are for. The place is also a co-ed facility. Which is great, we are all human and mixing with males and females helps allot in recovery. Those who disagree know nothing.
