My first pregnancy and birth was what I wished for because of Norfolk Roots. Everyone on the team is so wonderful, accommodating and positive. They allow you to make educated decisions without judgement which is so appreciated as it is rare in western medical care. I would highly recommend them if you prefer a natural approach and want to be well supported. Kim and the team are extremely educated on all things baby and mom, so much good information. Kim's student was also so kind and knowledgeable. Appointments never felt rushed, they will make sure all questions or concerns are answered. I was actually sad to graduate, but if we have another baby we will absolutely be back. Gem, and Kimberly were also amazing - so supportive. Andrea at reception was so pleasant to see at each visit, always smiling. Thank you Norfolk Roots, for all the support you have provided throughout my pregnancy and postpartum.

The midwives as well as Andrea were all amazing. They made navigating being pregnant and a new mom during a pandemic a lot less stressful. They were supportive of me throughout my pregnancy even when my birth plan did a complete 180. I will never be able to truly thank these amazing women enough for all of their support. I had the privilege of being Norfolk Roots' first client, and my daughter, was the first babe born with the help of this practice, before the clinic was officially open!

What I love most about the stance Norfolk Roots Midwives takes is the full belief in INFORMED CHOICE. So often, women assume that "doctor knows best," and this takes so much away from our innate inner knowing. My experience with Norfolk Roots Midwives was truly one filled with guidance in coming to trust whatever unique process my body and baby were going through. Never once was I guilted or pressured into making a decision, there was only ever patient and steady support and reminders that everyone is different, and so my process was my own.

If you want to experience the capacity you have to learn, grow, and walk through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum on your own terms, I highly recommend this practice. You will be educated and supported with a combination of evidence-based practice (read: science) AND ancient women's knowing ways. The best of both worlds. No question or concern is too small or too silly, these women do everything in their power to create a space and experience for you where you are heard and seen.

My family and I were extremely glad to work with these midwives! All staff here are the perfect balance of professional, welcoming, compassionate, and knowledgeable. We birthed at the hospital and ended up having an OB involved but we wouldn't have changed a thing about having a midwife. The personalized care is amazing. A group of amazing woman who are caring, compassionate, super knowledgeable and professional. After having an OB for my previous two pregnancies I can say that midwifery care made me feel much more comfortable and knowledgeable about my own experience.
