We are calling from last 2 months at 7.00am frequently but not able to get appointment. I don’t know how they proceed.

Called in to get an appointment and since a doctor was out sick they did not have appointments for that day. I spoke with the receptionist about my need for a medication refill and was told, “you should keep track of your refills”. I thought I was calling the DOCTOR for an appointment not my MOTHER for a lecture. Very poor customer service. When you call the doctor for an appointment you shouldn’t be given a hassle.

I dont know if we dont have enough doctors or what but they are booking 2 months ahead at least it seems like most of the time and having your own family doctor will not help get you in any quicker, the solution is to call there every moring at 7am and if no answer hang up and call again hoping that someone called in and cancelled their appointment for the day. So you have 100 people give or take every moring calling in at the same time repeatedly fighting for the receptionist to pick-up their call to hopefully get a spot that someone let go. Its kind of insane, and if you decided to go to emerg at the hospital the doctors get annoyed with you for issues that you should be going to a clinic for.

This location has provided me time and time again with what the worst of Sioux Lookout has to offer. People here do not do their jobs. They wrote down the wrong doctor after my emergency visit so my reports were sent to a Dr. Bell instead of my family Dr; negligence here. When I told them that it was imperative that I have a follow up because of what was found in the CT scan they told me that they did not have it and I would have to call back intermittently until they had it. They had the scan the whole time as I was informed by the Dryden Hospital that they had it and could access it in two different ways. I told them that I needed a follow up ASAP and to explain that to the HUgh Allen Clinic. When I told them that they said we don’t have any notes of that and we can book you in for 9 days from now. I asked if there was anything sooner and that I felt that I was in rough shape and should be seen today and that I wanted to come down there at that time. She said that if I showed up at the Hugh Allen Clinic the police would be called. It was at this point that I realized that I was being treated unfairly and that the stories I had heard about customer service here were unfortunately true. I am following up with a formal complaint. I tracked down my CT scan after Jason told me that once it was there I would be able to get a copy. I went to get a copy of it only to be met with hostility and to be asked what my problem was. I told Jason along with the manager that my problem is that I do not know what’s wrong with me; that I could have lymphoma or sarquidosis and when I told them that I needed to be looked at and cared for you threatened to call the cops. She repeated herself and said that we would call the cops. My fiancé and I left after this poor excuse of customer service. Horrible treatment toward a person who is in obvious pain and needs help.

It can be challenging to get an appointment but with the low number of doctors it is understandable. Great experience with multiple physicians and I have always felt well accommodated by support staff.

I think that regardless of how many appointments are available or not Jason should be required to use his manners and to not hang up on sick patients 👍🏻

It's hard to get an appt here, and they have limited hours. If they can't get you in the same day they just send you to emerg to see a Dr there.
