I recently visited my friend’s uncle, who is like a father to me, at this facility — and what I witnessed was extremely disturbing. The place was clearly short-staffed — only two staff members were present to care for all the residents. Are you serious?

This kind of staffing level is not just insufficient — it’s dangerous. Residents were left waiting far too long for help, and the staff on duty were visibly overwhelmed. It’s impossible to provide proper care or attention in these conditions.

Where is the management? Is this short staffing a result of cost-cutting? Because if it is, it’s happening at the expense of vulnerable seniors who rely on this facility for daily support. They charge crazy high fees, yet fail to deliver even basic quality care. That’s unacceptable.

There’s a clear sign of poor management here. Families are trusting this place with their loved ones, but the reality is far from the promises. The environment felt more like neglect than a retirement community.

If you’re considering this place for yourself or a loved one — think twice. Don’t be fooled by brochures or promises. Look deeper. Visit unannounced. Talk to hard working staff.

Because behind the scenes, the truth is harsh — and heartbreaking.

Although we do not move in for another month, Oct 29, 2024, we have talked with Tammy on many occasions. She always makes herself available without an appointment. We have had two "trial" meals there, which were far better than our expectations...friendly, welcoming staff served at the table, great variety, every meal, ample portions, and excellent quality for institutional food. We have several acquaintances there and they love every aspect of the Gardens. Looking forward to moving in and taking part in all the activities they offer.

Best place ever wonderful staff and residents. Always something fun and exciting to do and with great tasting food great location, very close to everything. Lots of parking. Not only for residents and staff, but for visitors as well and bonus, is pet friendly.

My mother in law was at Gardens of Wasaga Beach. The building and surrounding areas are new and the food was good but the actual staff were untrained and not attentive.

They left my mother in law who was confirmed to bed all night without checking on her. In the morning upon our return she unfortunately had soiled herself and left overnight so she was in a very unpleasant state. Medication was not delivered and administered. The nursing staff were few and the unskilled staff were always seen gathering in hallways chatting and not doing their respective duties.

Don’t be fooled by the good marketing and selling job by Tammy Forsyth who will promise everything and delivers on none.

Gardens of Wasaga Beach looks great but the staff are sub par. Think twice about putting your beloved parents in this retirement home.

Love this place and it's staff. Searched the area for a care home for my wife and after a lot searching found the Gardens. You won't be disappointed here. A 5 star home with great staff selected and well managed by Tammy Forsyth. She is great!
The Gardens has become my second home. Visit my wife there almost daily. Highly recommend it!!!!

The Gardens of Wasaga Beach is a fantastic residence! The staff is so kind, caring and are full of compassion. My mother moved into this residence and is the happiest she’s been in a long time. My only wish is that my dad was still wth us so he could experience the happiness! Thank you to Tammy and her wonderful staff. 💕

So…we moved my mother from another retirement home in Collingwood to Gardens of Wasaga Beach for numerous reasons. My family and Mother are so thrilled!! They are wonderful people and always happy. They are true to their word with what they offer. Food is fantastic and home cooked, hairdresser, RMT and Esthetician. Location is fabulous! If you want a wonderful residence for your loved ones - look no further. This is the place to be!! If I could give a 10 star I would.
