Both trips here could not have been better. First one, my husband needed stitches at 6 am in the morning. We were alone in emerg and seen right away and taken care of by a very professional and pleasant nurses and doctor. Second trip, emerg was closed but a nurse went out of her way to make sure my husband was bandaged and then sent us to closest emerg open.

The fact that out patients isn't open when it should be is bad, but what makes it worse are the unfriendly staff and lack of anything to eat when you get stuck there for hours on end. The vending machine with snacks is not there anymore, so even if you're in a hurry to get to out patients, grab something to bring.

One lady in particular who does the intake is absolutely miserable. I have never met anybody who works with the public so snappy and so ignorant, especially in times of panic and uncertainty (as some trips to the hopsital can be).
She has worked there for years and quite frankly, shouldn't be the one getting anybodys information for anything there. Not somebody you'd want to chat with in general let alone at a hosptial.

The Doctors do the best they can with what they are given . There are two for sure amazing doctors at this hospital they dedicate all the time and energy to keep the ER running. If we had a couple more beautiful people like the Benne's we would be way better off as a community ❤ Thanks for all that you do MR&MRS BENNE. I hope they work out something so we can keep this hospital a float and take some pressure off of the doctors that are doing there very best .

Very slow staff , should be put on piece work so they will do something. Unprofessional I now can see why the hospital gets no support from the locals. Doctor seen 3 patients in 3 hours while one was waiting with her hand sliced open deep

Bring drinks snacks because the machines never work when they do they rip you off exc,be prepared to wait 8 hours and depending on the doctor you may or pay not get care..oh did i mention when they are open......not the hospitals fault by any means but we pay our taxes..things have to change. Pretty sad.

I am writing this to express my feelings regarding my mother,s experience in your ER on Jan.26th and or 27th. My mother is 90 years old and the day I came with her to the ER was her second visit in 2 days. She had been up 2 nights in a row with diarrhea and vomiting and as we sat after Triage in your waiting room, she continued to vomit into a garbage can as she sat....barely able to sit up in a wheel chair. Now, I understand how Triage works, but I also feel there is a level when compassion should logically set in to those on the outside looking in. my point is, granted you were full in the Er,but can you tell me there was no guerney, or streatcher or ANYTHING where my Mother could have been put to Li
lie down? my sister and I would certainly continued to stay with her...no nursing staff required. Anyhow, we left after 3 hours as she couldn,t take it anymore,so we did get some Gravol,Hydralite and did our best to get her some rest and hydration. sHE HAS FAILING KIDNEYS TO BEGIN WITH AND i WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT TOO WOULD BE A CONCERN IF ANYONE CARED ENOUGH TO READ HER CHART BEFORE DISMISSING HER. wHEN I PERSONALLY WENT TO TELL THE NURSE IN er THAT WE WERE LEAVING,SHE SAID OK, WE,LL TAKE HER OFF THE LIST. no SORRY, NO DIALOGUE, NO NOTHING!!! I HAVE BEEN VERY SAD , BUT MOSTLY ANGRY ABOUT THIS EVENT FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS AND FINALLY DECIDED i NEEDED TO SAY SOMETHING. SHIRLEY hUTCHINSON.

This hospital is trying. I look around, its a clean place, the wait time has always been better than Yarmouth Hospital. Nova Scotia has a doctor problem, and I can't blame Roseway for that.
