My partner had a bad cut on his finger that needed stitches/glue, which takes like 5-10 mins to do.. Arrived at 6:30 to a not busy ER. Got into the procedure room at 12 am. Left at 2 am since we literally saw NO ONE coming. Asked the receptionist multiple times and they just said "we will be with you shortly. People who checked in after us got seen first and were out of there before us. 9 hours of waiting for nothing. Never coming back.

I gave the hospital a call to know about ER wait times, and the operator told me "It is our hospital policy to not to disclose ER wait times".
This information should be transparent. It helps to decide whether to go to this place or try somewhere else where we can have a quicker access to healthcare.
We pay taxes that run these hospitals. We deserve a better treatment from this healthcare system.

I’m not one to complain, however what happened tonight is unacceptable. i’ve heard the horror stories of rvh firsthand, my grandfather had a broken back (3 vertebrae’s bursted) and they sent him home twice and he almost became paralyzed. however i decided to visit emerge, my brother went to the arnprior hospital 3 days prior for a throat infection and i had the same symptoms so i went in. triage nurse melissa was amazing, but after waiting an hour and a half, ( not that bad) dr.david came in and was immediately condescending and rude, i miss heard him and he made rude and snarky remarks like “didn’t i literally just ask you that”. the first thing he said to me was just so you know i’m the future we will only be seeing real emergency’s at night. i understand you are busy and have to prioritize, but 90% of people don’t have a medical background and can’t tell. a little hospitality goes a long way and being nice is free.

Triage, emergency, imaging, day surgery: they all get two thumbs up from me. Too many names to mention but my heartfelt thanks goes out to all of them for the amazing health care they provide. (even the cafeteria ?).

Currently on hour 5 in the waiting room to be seen to find out if I’m having a miscarriage, person that was just taken in has been here 8 hours and counting before being seen.
They see by urgency yet they took a common cold before more urgent cases.
I’ve been here 2 days in a row and absolutely dismissed and made to feel delusional from the triage staff.
Came yesterday with my daughter for pink eye and the dr basically threw the prescription at us and ran off, too busy for questions or anything.
I have history of ectopic and wild enough I came into this er in pain and bleeding with my ectopic and I was misdiagnosed for a miscarriage and sent home, next thing you know I’m being rushed to surgery with a ruptured tube.
Do better RVH, one health care worker to another.

February 25th, 2024 was my first visit to the emergency department. I have to thank every triage nurse who attended to me. They went over and above to make me feel comfortable. I couldn't swallow due to a swollen tongue, so it was a frightening experience. Thanks again everyone.
