Went to go get lottery tickets!! But they have a hard time understanding English!! They gave me wrong lottery tickets...could hardly understand, I just paid the wrong tickets and left!! Will never stop there again!!

I don’t know what is going on with this gas station, other than say , pump’s don’t work or card readers are not working maybe out of gas and they can’t be bothered to put signs on the pumps to that fact. Today April 30, 2022 once again the pumps are not working while a number of up looking to fill up foolishly checked all the pumps. Oh I’m guessing that when the pumps are magically working again the post price of $1.70 for gas will the $1.85 per litre like the rest of the stations.
If I could have given a -5 stars I would have. I’m done wasting my time stopping there, I’ll be going elsewhere, from now on.

Like to congratulate the owner for price gouging us today when other gas stations (except in Vars or Embrun) in Ottawa, Bank Street, Carlsbad Springs were 10 to 17 cents cheaper. I guess when they heard that the price of gas was dropping they just said to hell with the residents of Russell. I am sure when the price is to go up they will be the first to do that.

I absolutely love this gas station.

The owner/manager (I'm not sure who he is) is absolutely wonderful and will keep an eye out for you if you are looking for a specific item that is supposed to be released in stores.

At Christmas time, they sell trees around the same price as the big yellow and blue store yet it is easier to buy and get home. Especially, if you are in a pinch and leave the tree until the last minute.

The staff is always wonderful and very helpful.

Went there tonight to get drinks and snacks. Got 2 Starbucks bottled drinks, set stuff on the counter and walked over to our son while he was still choosing what he's getting. The guy at the counter knocked over 1 of the 2 bottles, it broke, and he STILL made us pay for it. If it had been me that broke it, understandable. and sure, it's only a few dollars.. but at the end of the day, a store employee broke it.. a customer should not have to pay for an employees mistake. Pretty terrible customer service..

When I lived nearby, I never had to check gas prices - Just go to MacEwen in Russell. 99% of the time, this was the cheapest station for miles around. Now that I live elsewhere where gas prices are high, I realize I took this for granted for years. It does get busy in the afternoons after school, but that means they are doing something right. Clean, bright, decent store.
