We are extremely happy with the companion chosen for our mother. Karen seems to have a good relationship with Mom and keeps the nursing staff informed about anything important that may come up. We know it isn’t easy to fill 2 hours of meaningful interaction at the end of a long day, this is why it’s important to maintain a comfortable connection with her caregiver.

The whole team are very approachable and quick to respond when we need them.

Can't say enough good things about SHHCS and how grateful we are to be able to rely on them when needed.

I recommend Sandra's Home Care Services most highly. Sandra and her carefully chosen and supervised staff enabled my aunt and uncle to fulfill their wish to live out their lives in their own home, cared for with love and respect. Sandra considered the promise she made to my uncle, that he and my aunt complete their lives at home, to be unbreakable, even long after he was gone. My aunt, who lived to be almost 101, was able to be served her meals in her own dining room, with her own dishes, looking out at the birds and squirrels in the yard she loved. The staff were always respectful, attempting to enrich my aunt and uncle's lives with activities and seasonal celebrations and decorations.
Sandra's Home Care Services was a godsend to me since I live in a different city, and initially had a full time job. I knew all the details of meal planning, cleaning and the many appointments would be handled. I was kept well informed but could keep my visits with my aunt and uncle as friendly, social times. I hope their will be someone as caring available when i need it.

Sandra and her team were lifesavers for us. My mother-in-law grew up in Niagara on the Lake, married and raised her family here and then settled into her family’s Victorian cottage in the Old Town.

Kaye was fun-loving, strong willed and under no circumstances was she willing to live anywhere else but her home. Sandra and her staff allowed us to help Kaye achieve her (and our) goal. She was able to stay at home until the end (at 95) with the assistance of the PSW’s that came and nursed her when she was ill, took her shopping when she wanted to get out (which was often), cleaned for her and stayed overnight when it was required.

Sandra made every effort to ensure that Kaye was comfortable with the care workers that supported her and that they had a good relationship. At that time, Sandra would call us personally and let us know when Kaye was having an issue of some kind and her staff would take her to hospital, when necessary, so we could meet them there on our way from Mississauga.

When Kaye was failing, Sandra even stopped by the hospital on her way back from B.C where she had just accepted the “Caregiver of The Year” award from Canada Cares. She remains a friend and we have recommended her to many other friends always with great results.

During Covid, Sandra's Home Health Care was very helpful during a very difficult time for our family. From the beginning ,when we met with them to see what type of care/services would be best suited for our situation, they were informative and understanding of our care needs. The PSW's lovingly cared for mom as if she was their own mom. When we suddenly needed overnight care, SHC were easily able to set it up and ensured consistency with our regular PSWs. My family would highly recommend Sandra and her team.

Can not say more about how grateful my family and I are to Sandra. My Omi had an unfortunate fall about a week before my sister's wedding day which landed her in the hospital. We were all absolutely devastated at the fact she was unable to attend. Even worse was our entire family would be at the wedding, and no one would be able to help set her up a call to even watch it remotely. Sandra came to our rescue the night before and assured us there would be someone at my grandmothers side so she could watch the ceremony. Sandra personally brought an iPad to the hospital, sat with my Omi through the whole ceremony to ensure she could see and hear everything from her hospital bed. She went a step further by even reaching out to the wedding coordinator at the venue to organize logistics so a seat to be saved for the device to be in the front row. The compassion, accommodation and empathy demonstrated simply goes above and beyond what we had expected. With her help, we made the most of unfortunate circumstances and both my sister and my Omi will never forget that moment. Words cannot describe our gratitude. Thank you Sandra and SHHC.
