They have new ownership and new management and after years of neglect and poor service what a drastic change. They had trivia night which was a lot of fun, the service was tremendous and the new assistant manager was very friendly and engaging. Check it out if you havent gone and were soured by the old ownership.

My husband and I visited the pub last week and we had a great time! We went in late afternoon and stayed for 3 hours. The bartender, Cora, was just lovely. She is super friendly, open and a great conversationalist. I was glad to have met her. We also got the chance to talk to a few other locals, all of whom were great. I want to come back to Coalhurst just to visit the pub!

Call for food, they always have an excuse why they can't do it for you, tonight was "We have to shut off the fryer an hour before close" I called before 830 and you guy's close at 10pm.

Never seen such a pathetic waste of a business.

Just dropped in to use the bathroom which was clean. Very appreciated. The pub looked great and the bar staff friendly. Had to leave but we are going back for a drink and snacks.

Sat at the bar while she served everyone else and cashed in vlts, cool no problem I’ll wait. Then she made eye contact with me and rolled her eyes and continued to not acknowledge me lol guess only men get severed there 🤷‍♀️
