One star because there’s no option for zero stars. But if you’re reading this, you’re probably doing research and trying to decide whether to hire Christina DePalma or not. My advice is to hire her only if you DON’T value your money, time, and PRIVACY! Here are two reasons why I say this:

1 — Christina was hired based on the consultation during which she said we have a very strong case. The consultation is paid. Even though we spent hours gathering and providing her with information pertaining to our matter, it seems she didn’t actually look at the information before our consultation.

After she received our retainer and spent more time looking at the matter, her attitude completely changed. She started minimizing our situation and talking in a very dismissive tone. It’s the kind of tone that we would have expected from opposing counsel and not someone who is supposed to represent us and our best interests.

If she changed her mind about our case, she could have handled it differently, but when you read point #2 below, you’ll understand that she’s not a professional and has no business being in the field of law.

Having dealt with many legal professionals over the years, we knew right away to fire her immediately because there’s no point in spending good money after bad.

2 — To make things even worse, we just found out from the people hired to paint our house that Christina had discussed our matter with them! Turns out they’re ’good friends’! We are speechless!

This is a very small community and we’re still in shock to have learned this information. There’s absolutely no excuse for this type of breach from someone practicing law so we have no choice but to report her to the Law Society of Ontario.

Hire her at your own peril, but don’t say you weren’t warned.
