I went to the hospital and received care. The hospital said expect a call from cacc in 24 hours. 5 days go by and on Friday late it the day they call wanting to set up an appointment. By this time I have been taking care of my wound on a daily basis when I asked her about the 24 hour call she didn’t make she asked if the hospital really said this. Immediately she was asking if I wanted to close this case. Tactics of advoidance with this was the priority. These people shouldn’t be caring for animals let alone people. They have no shame. Infection could take my leg and the level of support is non existent. This model of care is surely broken and these highly paid deflection specialists should be held accountable for this disgraceful service

I am so blown away by the lack of care. My mom had open heart surgery and home care was to assist once she was released to ensure her to a successful recovery. Not only did they not show up or call or return calls. She had to be taken back to the hospital by ambulance. Once again being sent home with the doctor stating home care promises. Stacy from Erie shores did her assessment and advised me that she didn’t feel she would need it since she lives at home with me. Trying to explain that I do go to work her response is well you are home eventually and from what Stacy could see she was able to make it to her toilet which is beside her bed. Thank you CCAC for setting my mom up for failure with your compassionate assessment and of course making sure I knew my mom is depressed ! Yes she is probably because she keeps getting sent back to the hospital due to the joke of a health care system we have !!

After reading some of the reviews it appears that CCAC has no intention of improving their community image. I can add another situation where the organization is creating a hardshop situation for my 92 year old mother who is recently moving to a retirement village. Although my mother was receiving regular care from a wonderful caregiver this uncaring CCAC administrator insists that she now wants my mother to be reaccessed in 30 days. This insensitive person (?) also refuses to coordinate any care with the nurse at the Season’s ROV because as she stated "CCAC does not contact or communicate with any other agency or organization." How unprofessional and totally selfish is this policy when it comes to the care of an elderly 92 year old.

They were extremely polite and patient with me when I went there for wound and IV care. They taught my mother how to take care of the wound and how to hook up the IV. Very nice, caring, and empathetic. Wish I knew the woman who treated me by name because she was so wonderful.

This joke of a company needs to be defunded and shut down immediately. The amount of incompetency, lack of knowledge and zero urgency is truly terrible. We’ve spoken to many employees in a short period of time that all gave us different answers and wasted our time. They all need to be ashamed of themselves for not knowing information that should be normal practice. Our child is extremely sick and instead of assisting us as we were told they would, they actually made things worse and our child couldn’t get the medicine he needed in time. It is also unacceptable that the government funds this organization and does not hold them to a professional and accurate standard, wasting tax dollars….PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!

This place is a complete sham. Currently they have multiple people in the waiting room all almost an hour past their appointment. Why? Because they have poor staffing and only scheduling a certain amount of people per shift. You’d think if 2 staff members call in they’d call for replacements instead of inconveniencing others.

Unsure how this place can still be running as this isn’t the first time this has happened.

Go to another clinic is you want proper healthcare as you won’t find it here

So far our experience with CCAC has been a mixed bag. In many ways they have been awesome at getting us information and helping with our aging parents and then at other times they ask to speak to my non-existent brother and refuse to talk to me. It seems that they are severly understaffed and underbudgeted and its impacting their ability to help people in need.

This is a prime example of government inefficiency. I was warned by health care professionals that LHIN resorted to bullying tactics to fill beds and close case files and I have experienced first hand how true this is. LHIN forced me to place my sister, who has dementia, into a facility that is not designed and do not have the staff to care for individuals with dementia. As a result of this the staff at this facility has resorted to over medicating her to the point that she can barely function. I have repeatedly called LHIN to find out where my sister is "on the list", to be moved a more suitable facility but to date they have never bothered to even give me the courtesy of a return call.
