Lovely experience here! Happened in on a very busy Sunday morning. Receptionist was kind, warm and welcoming. Lovely calming demeanor, great communication. Love the email system for filling out new patient forms- far more efficient all around.

Dr E was very lovely. Commented on how unusually busy this morning has been, but she was still in high spirits and did not make me feel like she was rushing me out (have had that at the dentist, not okay).

Gentleman at the pharmacy was very kind and well spoken. Speedy service, explained my eye drops system very clearly and with kindness.

Whole space is cozy but clean and bright. Thanks to all the humans who maintain this place, 3 for 3 in wonderful service 🥰

If I could leave a rating of zero I would. I came in for one simple thing and left with another illness. This is the most inefficiently run clinic I have ever visited. I’ll save you from the entire story but would advise to not use this clinic. What everyone else had to say is true. They do not give you the prescription they give it to the pharmacy so you have no choice as to get your prescription filled by them. This place is a complete scam. The only nice thing I would have to say about this clinic is that everyone was friendly, but certainly not concerned about your health.

I had a very disappointing experience today, May 18, 2025, due to the unprofessional behavior of the receptionist ( She refused to give her name ) at this medical office. She was rude, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in helping patients. When I asked a simple question about my appointment, her tone was sharp and impatient, making me feel like a burden rather than a valued patient.

In a medical environment, especially where people may already be anxious or unwell, kindness and professionalism should be a priority—this receptionist displayed neither. It’s unfortunate that such a negative interaction overshadowed the rest of my call.

I hope the clinic takes steps to address this issue and ensure future patients are treated with the respect they deserve

I visited this clinic after my symptoms were dismissed twice at a different clinic, despite worsening respiratory symptoms.

Dr. Haddawi took the time to really listen, assess all of my symptoms, and ultimately diagnosed me with pneumonia — something the previous clinic completely missed?!

I was finally prescribed antibiotics and a proper puffer.

Their attentiveness and genuine care to figure out what was wrong is so much appreciated. I do highly recommend booking a walk in appointment if you are going to visit this clinic as the wait time was very long without one (almost 2 hours) but honestly it was worth it to get the proper treatment I needed.

Booked a last minute appointment (since it can take weeks to see one’s family doctor) on the weekend. Filled out an online health history form they sent prior to my appointment. Arrived early, left before my appointment time. Doctor was empathetic, and knowledgeable. She ended up calling me 3 days later to check in on my symptoms. Wow, if you don’t have a family doctor go here, and for those last-minute appointments where u can book online the night before!
Thank you Fort York Medical.

Bad experience at this clinic. If you want to get checked by inexperienced students, this is the place to be.

First "doctor" prescribed antibiotics for a throat infection. On a follow up visit, second one mentioned I didn't need antibiotics at all and that I was misdiagnosed.

Super long wait times for an otherwise seemingly empty clinic.

They don't take your privacy seriously either. When registering at the counter, on TWO occasions, I had full view of 2 peoples passports first page. Pretty sure that's a breach of patient confidentiality/privacy.

Save yourself the trouble, listen to the one stars and find yourself a real clinic.

Absolutely appalling. Avoid Fort York Medical Walk-In Clinic at all costs.

I booked an appointment to ask simple medical questions related to upcoming travel....nothing more, nothing less. Upon arrival, they took my health card and promptly informed me that I needed to E-TRANSFER them $80 just to speak with a doctor about travel-related questions. Not for a prescription. Not for a procedure. Just to ask questions. Their justification? “Not covered by OHIP.”

This immediately raised red flags, so I walked out and called the Ontario Ministry of Health’s fraud line. They confirmed this would be fully covered under OHIP and that charging patients this way is fraudulent. I’ve since filed a report and formal claim with the Ministry.

It’s disgraceful that this clinic is exploiting people who may not know better, especially in matters as basic consultations. If you value ethical medical care and don’t want to get scammed, steer clear of this place.
