Restored my faith in the medical system. They cared. They listened. They helped. As is the case for many, I don't have a family doctor.
After being turned away or being unable to be seen/make an appointment at multiple other clinics, they actually took the time.
Efficient, effective, clear, concise and thorough - hands down my best experience at a walk-in clinic, ever. Not even exaggerating.
10/10 : would recommend!

Terrible experience – unprofessional and careless

I had a very disappointing visit with Dr. Mbanaso today — or at least that’s the doctor I was scheduled to see. I made an appointment for what I thought was a minor issue: a splinter in the sole of my foot. Honestly, I even felt a bit silly going in for something so small, but I couldn’t get it out myself, so I figured it was worth getting checked.

Unfortunately, the visit felt anything but professional. The doctor didn’t clean the area before starting — not even with alcohol, which is just basic hygiene. She simply took a needle (at least it was a new one) and began poking into my foot without properly preparing the area. After several minutes of painful and unsuccessful attempts, she casually asked if I was up to date with my tetanus shot — which made me even more uneasy, considering she never asked if I had cleaned the area myself or if what she was doing was sterile.

I asked if she had local anesthesia, and she said no. Eventually, after more poking and no results, she told me she didn’t have the proper tools to remove the splinter and recommended I go to the emergency room.

Honestly, I had tried to remove it at home in a more sterile and careful way. Now I have to go elsewhere to have it properly treated — with the area already sore and irritated from this failed attempt. Worst service I’ve received from a medical professional in a long time.

I drove from Napanee for my 8 year old girl with RSV symptoms as all the other walk in clinics denied or no availability to take walk in patients. They seem to be under same umbrella of other Great Lakes locations (Kingston and Belleville) but trust me, Trenton clinic has better website booking an appointment, kind staff, nice pharmacy, and a good doctor - we met Dr. Tateishi. They are like an oasis of a desert indeed. I am really grateful.

I wrote a review when this group of Doctors and the receptionist were working out of the Belleville Location back in August 2024. Now being September 2024, they have moved to their new Great Lakes in Trenton. Still absolutely fantastic experience. I went at a great time of day and was seen very quickly. The receptionist was friendly and proficient. The doctor at the time of visit was very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. Lucky to have this clinic available for patients who don't have a family doctor yet. I highly recommend the Trenton location of The Great Lakes Walk in Clinic.

Clinic manager greeted me right away when I came in. He was very personable and helpful. Great people skills. Short wait to be seen. The doctor was thorough and also had great people skills. Be prepared to wait. It is usually 2-3 or can be 4 hrs. You can either wait in the waiting room, or go about doing your thing. You will receive a notification about 3 patients b4 it's your turn. The Dr and staff are excellent. He takes to listen to your concern and moves quickly. Office is very clean, staff friendly.

I went in and was told they don't do walk ins. It's only virtual.
I did see 3 medical rooms. But I'm unsure what they are used for if it's a virtual clinic.

Few times I've been here they've been very helpful, courteous and understanding. If you MUST see a doctor in person face to face and don't have a family doctor already, they're the only place to go in Trenton aside from the hospital. The wait times are reasonable and I have seen a different doctor each time I've been here, but all have been exceptional and asked me multiple questions etc to really get to the bottom of things professionally with understanding and kindness in tact. My only tiny reason for not giving it 5 stars is I find they're not always consistent from one week to the next on which days of the week they're open. Other Thursdays they have been open, but I checked this morning (November 7th 2024) and they're not open today or again til Monday.
