Having brake issues at 1am a hour out of Duluth isn't a good way to start a vacation. But we cautiously pushed on to our destination. Upon our arrival, Clint, our resorts owner said "I know a place." and lead us to your shop. Our vehicle ended up need a bit of work as one thing lead to another, but +500 miles from home, we had to trust your advice. Work was done in a timely manner, and from what I inquired, probably less expensive than at repair shops back home.

In the 11 yrs spent employed in Sioux Lookout there are many good things to say about the welcoming people in the community but nothing positive applies to the awful auto service that H&M once provided me. Thanks Mike! I’ll always remember Thanksgiving 2018, the damp, snowy weekend I was stranded in town when I’d planned to be home in TBay except my car wouldn’t start. The wet snowy weather was the likely cause. H&M took me down a rabbit hole and up a wrong tree until I stopped it before falling further into their dark abyss. I paid $399.79 to have my 2005 Subaru released from H&M to my SL rental in the same manner (tow truck) and same condition (no start) that it arrived at H&M. And days later when things dried up, the Forrester started! But Mike/H&M had said “found timing belt jumped a couple of teeth due to auto belt tensioner failure. Next step, pressurize each cylinder to ensure no internal damage has been caused.” I didn’t give Mike/H&M my consent for this ridiculous “next step” or who knows the💲. In TBay two weeks later the car failed to start again in wet weather. Joe’s Auto Service in TBay replaced the “ignition coil and wire assembly” to fix the problem. I’m still driving my Subaru. $146 bucks to get 4 tires on rims switched. They said they had to re-learn the tire pressure sensors. They must have forgotten as I had the summer tires put on last spring @ half the cost. Didn’t know we had to pay for them to learn how to replace a tire. Also got charged for $6.00 shop supplies and hazardous materials at $4.00. How can this be. Will never go there again!
